Cathy Garcia Molina thanks Angel Locsin for trusting her with daring scenes in 'Unofficially Yours'

<img src='' alt='010312-direkcathy_main.jpg' align='left' border='0' height='290' width='305'>During the promo shoot of Star Cinema’s upcoming movie Unofficially Yours, box office director Cathy Garcia-Molina shared that working with John Lloyd Cruz in their seventh movie is really challenging because they want to offer something different to the audience each time. But the fact that they know each other well by now makes it easier for her to convey what she requires of John Lloyd when shooting scenes of the movie. “Palaging mahirap kasi sinusubukan naming hindi magkapareho ng past movies namin. So more and more humihirap yung mga pinaglalaruan na characters. Kung paano umiyak ng hindi maikukumpara kay Popoy ng One More Chance o ni Apollo ng My Amnesia Girl. Kasi kami ni John Lloyd magkatinginan lang alam na namin kung ano ang pangit at hindi [yung ginawa niyang pag-arte].” On the other hand, Direk Cathy enjoyed discovering more about Angel’s talent as an actress. “Siya medyo naninibago pa sa akin kung ok ba yung trabaho niya o hindi. Kasi hindi ako nag-gu-good take e. Hindi ako nag-ve-very good. Ang good take sa akin, ‘pwede na yan’. Si Angel kasi I have worked with her before (in the teleserye Lobo) so somehow I know how to handle her. I know her personally, but other than that, we haven’t worked together sa pelikula. May mga bagay na iba since ibang-iba naman talaga ang TV at pelikula.” The much-admired director added that she’s happy because Angel had no qualms about doing intimate scenes with John Lloyd in Unofficially Yours. “Kasi medyo may mga maseselan na eksena, and I asked Angel to trust me. When we worked on our first day, naramdaman ko ang bonggang bonggang trust niya.” Direk Cathy is aware that a lot of people expect them to beat box office hits such as Private Benjamin and No Other Woman. But she maintained that she’d rather focus on creating a good movie than worry about other people’s expectations. “Siyempre nandun yung tensyon, takot, lalo na at galing sa dalawang super blockbuster ang Star Cinema. And knowing na ang 2011 Metro Manila Film Festival entries natin ganon din, magiging super mega blockbuster. So it’s a tall order for us. Pero ang lagi lang naman naming intensyon e makapagbigay ng magandang kwento sa inyo, ma-entertain kayo at magustuhan ninyo. Kung kumita, bonus na lang yun. Pero ang intensyon talaga namin makagawa ng quality movie.” Although she refused to give details about the movie, Direk Cathy promised to deliver a love story that will make an impact to the viewers including her lead stars. “Definitely may matutunan si John Lloyd dito pati si Angel. Kasi kung ikukwento ko in one sentence, it’s about a man who falls in love with someone who doesn’t want to fall in love. Ganon lang kasimple sa akin yung pelikula. Sana kasing excited ninyo kami. Habang ginagawa namin yung pelikula, magkahalo yung tensyon at saya. Sana makapagbigay ulit kami ng bago sa inyong lahat. Mga linyang matatandaan, mga bagong antics ni John Lloyd, ngayon meron na rin si Angel na sarili niya. Sana suportahan ninyo sa 2012 ang Unofficially Yours.”
