Carmina Villaroel said that it is nice that she is going to do a talk show with ABS-CBN again. She first experienced being a host via the morning talk show, Morning Girls with co-hosts ZsaZsa Padilla and Pops Fernandez, which aired in early 2000.
“Very thankful ako kasi dahil sa Morning Girls dun naman talaga ako nagsimula para bansagan akong host, so dito ako nagsimula, so ending ko dito pa rin talaga. Babalik at babalik ka rin,” Carmina explained.
As for her upcoming show, Carmina described it as not being a typical talk show. “Kahit ‘yung ABS-CBN ay gumawa ng isang talk show na kakaiba from the rest. I really can’t to go into details pero mas may puso [ang show],” she said.
She will host the new program with Janice de Belen who also returned to ABS-CBN late last year after many years. “Masaya kasi dito nanggaling si Ate Janice, dito kami nanggaling so parang nag-reunion kami ng pamilya. Na-miss namin ‘yung isa’t-isa for a while pero dito rin pala ang ending.”
The actress was also asked if she is open to interview BB Gandanghari, formerly known as Rustom Padilla and Carmina’s ex-husband. “We’re okay, kaya kung magkakaroon ng storyang ganyan, why not? Open ako. Kasi kung darating siya dito, aba! Ako na ang magi-interview sa kanya. ‘Ba’t n’yo pa ibibigay sa iba? Ako nang gagawa ng interview,” she said. BB is now in the United States.
After they broke up, Carmina and Rustom were not on speaking terms for a time and Rustom left for the US. The actress shared how they were able to patch things up. “Nagkita kami before siya sumali ng PBB (Pinoy Big Brother Celebrity Edition, 2006). Naging okay naman kaming dalawa. Nag-usap kaming dalawa okay na. Kaya nung revelations sa PBB hindi na ko nagulat kasi alam ko na, kumbaga kayo na lang ang nagulat, ako, hindi na.”
She revealed that they were able to catch up for the lost time. “Ang cute lang. Parang lang kaming magkaibigan lang talaga. Tama din lang ‘yung timing nung nakapag-usap kami. I’ve moved on with my life. Basta sa akin kung ano ang gusto mong gawin, kung ano ang makakapagpaligaya sa ‘yo go for the gold! Basta wala ka namang inaapakang tao, gawin mo ‘di ba?”
