This is quite different where ang highlight, I don’t know if I am being biased because I am the father, but ito it gives a different perspective of what a father is at kung ano ang relationship niya with a son. I think yun ang pagkakaiba ng ginagawa namin that is why I am so passionate on all of these because I have two sons of my own and I want to show them that this is how a father should love their sons.” Isa ding reunion project ito para sa kanila ni Agot Isidro na nakasama niya sa dating show na ‘Sang Linggo nApo sila at si Jomari Yllana na kanyang kumpare naman. “They are really good friends before they are co-workers… kaya I love the two of them and when I found out that I was working with them two thumbs up for me.” Isinaad din ng singer/actor ang kanyang saloobin sa paglipat ng kanyang sister-in-law na sina Janice de Belen at best friend ng kanyang asawa na si Carmina Villaroel. “I know they are happy. I know my sister-in-law Janice is very happy with all the projects she’s gotten and she has another one coming up which I can’t disclose. I know she is happy. I know Carmina is happy kasi best friend ni Gelli yan e. Nung nag-usap sila sabi niya I am so happy returning with them , returning to Channel 2, alam ko happy sila.” Natanong rin si Ariel na dahil lahat naman ng malalapit kay Gelli de Belen ay nasa kapamilya network, wala ba siyang balak na ayain ang asawa na sumama at lumipat na rin sa ABS-CBN. “Kanya-kanya naman yun. I think ‘di natin alam landas natin e so wherever she is happy, right now she is happy. She gets the meatier roles in the other network, mga kaedad niya yun e (Janice and Carmina) kaya ngayon yung mga meaty roles nandun sa kanya sa kabila.” ang natatawang sagot niya. May balak din kaya si Gelli lumipat sa ABS-CBN? “Ayokong magsabi baka ma-quote ako maging negative sa asawa ko yun. She is happy where she is, I am happy where I am so yun.” Natanong ng Push si Ariel kung napag-uusapan ba nilang mag-asawa ang lipatan ng network lalo pa’t nagkahiwa-hiwalay na sila. “Not really, we are talking about the projects that we are given not so much with the contract.” Nagsaad din ng saloobin si Ariel tungkol sa pagkakaroon ng kontrata. “You know sometimes the contract will help you, sometimes it doesn’t. Sa side ko it works for me having a contract but to other people it hinders their movements. Hindi naman lahat ng contracts positive, sometimes it ties you down. Sometimes wala ka nang magawa and we have seen that to other stars na may contract nga sila pero nafefreeze sila kaya wala silang magawa so some benefits you, some it doesn’t. In my case it benefits me so yun.” Kaya naman sa lahat ng nangyayari sa kanya karera, masasabi niya bang magandanag desisyun ang lumipat sa ABS-CBN? “One hundred ten percent. Even if her friends and family are at ABS-CBN, Ariel Rivera says Gelli de Belen is okay with working on another network.
