Toni Gonzaga says she doesn't want Paul Soriano to propose marriage on national TV

090211-toni-main.jpgToni Gonzaga did not deny that she felt she was put on the spot when her boyfriend Paul Soriano asked her when would she be ready to tie the knot with him during the live episode of The Buzz last August 28. The 27-year-old host didn’t expect that she’d be speechless in spite of her hosting experience. “Parang first and last na ata yun [na one on one interview ko sa kanya]. Sobra akong kinabahan. Ang hirap pala when you know so much about the person. Siguro in time matututunan ko din ‘yan.

Toni admitted that for a moment there she really thought Paul was about to propose marriage to her on national television. “For a time nabwisit ako sa kanya sa mga pahangin questions. Sabi ko, ‘Ano itong ginagawa ni Paul?’ Kasi lagi namin napag-uusapan yun. In-on the spot lang talaga niya ako.”

When asked why she seems more hesitant than Paul when talking about marriage, Toni explained that both of them have actually agreed that they won’t be settling down anytime soon. It’s mainly because they still have a lot of growing up to do in terms of their respective careers.

But when will she be ready to make a lifetime commitment with Paul? “Ako talaga ang ideal age for me, 30 is the new 25 sa generation namin.
