083011-sharon_main.jpgAll set to start shooting for her newest movie project under Star Cinema by October, Sharon Cuneta admitted she is looking forward to playing a different kind of role as she portrays a former OFW who comes home to her family and finds work in a call center. The actress shares the reason why she is not totally unfamiliar with the industry. “I actually know someone who works in a call center. I can get a lot of tips from him. I’m excited kasi it’s a different project, a different kind of mother I’m going to portray and it’s about a family and a mother’s relationship with all her children. And also the family that she slowly gets to realize and embrace in the call center. It’s about family and working families and how they change me and affect me as a person. It’s about being a woman and a mother,” she said.

Sharon admitted she is looking forward to doing a film without any love angle for a change. “Basta ang role ko ay nagtratrabaho sa call center so it’s different. It’s a family movie. The story is about the family, walang ka-love team pero interesting. Very nice. It’s different. Ibang klaseng nanay. My character came home to take care of her husband who was the main person that the kids grew up with and he would cover up for her, all the while akala niya okay until he got sick then he died, ganyan. And then all of a sudden she doesn’t know what to do. And she has no relationship with the kids so that’s how it starts,” she explained.

Although the rest of the cast for the movie has yet to be finalized, Sharon said she is confident at the quality of the film because director Lauren Dyogi is at the helm. “Direk Lauren Dyogi is going to direct it so I’m very excited. The lineup for the cast was presented na kanina but ayoko naman i-pre-empt. Baka hindi pa sila nakakusap. There’s going to be a big announcement,” she said.

Although it looks like her reported horror film with Vilma Santos will have to wait, Sharon said she is still looking forward towards doing a project with the Star for all Seasons and possibly even Superstar Nora Aunor in the future, as well as pushing through with her much-anticipated reunion project with her ex-husband Gabby Concepcion. “I’m still hoping for that. I’m pretty sure it will push through but just not as soon as everyone hopes. Ayoko naman kasing mag-comeback ng love story na immediately Sharon-Gabby agad. Let us naman do stuff on our own muna ‘di ba. Pero darating din tayo dun. Pati ako fan ako nung love team naming yun so I’m excited (laughs). Miss ko na rin yung team-up. Hopefully mga next year. And of course I’d love to work with Nora Aunor. She’s the one and only superstar. Just like my Ate Vi, the one and only Star for all Seasons. Dalawa sila sa pillars ng entertainment industry and it would be an honor for me sincerely to work with Ate Guy also, if she’ll have me,” she humbly said.
