Exclusive: Sarah Geronimo defends Rachelle Ann Go against malicious rumors

081911-sarah_main.jpgAfter her short vacation in the United States, Sarah Geronimo is slowly easing back into the limelight with her weekly appearance on ASAP as well as an upcoming movie project with Gerald Anderson. But even while she was abroad, the 23 year-old admitted she was in constant communication with her good friend and fellow singing champion Rachelle Ann Go, who is currently facing rumors linking her to an already married celebrity with whom she did a show abroad.

Sarah dispelled any doubt that it was anything but just a malicious rumor. “Napag-usapan naman namin minsan. Siyempre nakakalungkot na may mga ganung intriga pero kilala ko naman si Ate Rachelle. Napaka-responsableng tao nyan. Hindi yan gagawa ng bagay na alam niyang ikakasira niya at ikakasira ng relationship niya with her family. At saka mga taong naniniwala sa kanya. So talagang siyempre kampante din ako na hindi totoo yung mga issues about her,” she said to Push.com.ph.

Sarah, who regularly hangs out with Rachelle Ann Go and Yeng Constantino, said she and her friends have already come to accept that these kinds of trials are all part of being in showbiz. Sarah said they have all had to deal with intrigues at one point or another in their respective careers, “Oo, pana-panahon lang yan. Pero siyempre andun yung parang feeling na parang ang daming binabato kat Ate Rachelle na intriga. Pero wala eh, part talaga ng trabaho namin yung mga intriga,” she said.

Sarah said that she misses hanging out with her friends since they all have busy work schedules and meet up only when they are all available. “We like going to movies tapos kakain. Manunuod kami usually light movies or minsan pagka-nagustuhan namin manunuod kami ng horror, ganun. Mahilig kami sa Filipino dishes and mag-dessert. Meron din kaming mga favorite places na kinakainan,” she admitted to Push.com.ph.

The talented singer-actress, whose movies have almost always become box office hits, admitted that she still feels the pressure with every new movie project that she is offered. “May stress pa rin talaga. At saka may times pa nga na ang konti lang ng line ko pero nakakalimutan ko (laughs). Iba kasi pag pelikula eh, basta malaki kasing proyekto yung isang pelikula, lalo na under Star Cinema, alam mo na talagang pinagkagastusan at binibigyan ng importansya. At saka ang Star Cinema kilala yan sa paggawa ng pelikula na talagang high quality and yung mga actors, yung cast nila magagaling. So nandun yung kaba lagi, every time na gumagawa ako ng pelikula with Star Cinema,” she admitted to Push.com.ph.

Her upcoming movie, which is a follow-up project to Catch Me, I’m Falling, her first team-up with Gerald Anderson, will start shooting soon and will be shown later this year.
