Diego Loyzaga on reported rift with dad Cesar Montano: 'Pinalaki ng ibang tao ang isyu'

081911-diego_main.jpgDiego Loyzaga explained that he is now on good terms with dad Cesar Montano and previous reports about their supposed rift were exaggerated. He’s still my dad and I am his son,” Diego admitted during the premiere night of Way Back Home last Tuesday, August 16.

He denied claims that he allegedly demanded a condo unit and a car from his dad.  “But at the end of the day, my dad and I know the truth. I’m still his son he’s my dad. There’s no fight, no argument [and] we’re both very happy.”

He also confirmed that his dad recently gave him a new car as a present. Salamat dad, I love you,” he shared.

The young actor continued that he has an amicable relationship with his stepmom, Sunshine Cruz and is very close to her three daughters, Diego’s half-sisters.

Diego also admitted that his mom Teresa Loyzaga does not fail to amaze him because she continues to keep a close watch on him even if she is now based in Australia. “My mom is incredible talaga, kahit ang layo-layo niya kung narinig na tumakas ako sa bahay papagalitan pa rin niya ako. Sobrang galing ng nanay ko kahit nasa trabaho she still gives me pointers, dapat ganito, dapat ganyan. She’s always helping me out, walang katapusan sa pagtulong ang nanay ko.”

Diego also revealed that his dad and mom are actually on good terms, despite reports claiming otherwise. They’re both very happy,” assured the young actor.

Nevertheless, Diego pointed out that he is beginning to get used to negative publicity and is learning not to take them so seriously.
