Maricel Soriano fails to show up at the first hearing with her 'maltreated' housemaids

On the other hand, her two former housemaids May Cachuela and Camille Acuedo arrived on time for their 4 pm appointment and waited there for an hour or so before leaving the barangay hall when it became clear that Maricel was not showing up after all.

According to May, they were ready to face the Diamond Star despite their alleged traumatic experience while working for her.

Should Maricel fail to appear at their succeeding barangay hearings, both May and Camille stressed that they will be forced to file a legal case in court against the actress.

Asked if they’re willing to settle the case in exchange of damage fees, May claimed that no amount of money could make up for the physical and verbal abuse she allegedly went through during her two-week stint as Maricel’s house help.

But it remains unclear whether or not a personal apology plus their two weeks’ worth of wages are enough to pacify May and Camille. They insisted that it all depends on whatever decision they’d come up with once they’ve personally talked to Maricel.

What’s more controversial though is that the two stand by their previous claims that Maricel is using cocaine, fueling speculations that she has been getting treatments for her drug abuse problem since early this year. Basta kung ano man yung nasabi ko noon, yun na,” said May.

When asked if they also knew about her alleged on and off stay at drug rehab centers, Camille remarked that the talent actress was recently confined in the hospital but she’s not sure if it’s related to her addiction.
