Cristine Reyes and Aiko Melendez share why having a good reputation is important to them

071711-reputasyon_main.jpgAs the headliner in the Kapamilya network’s afternoon drama line-up, Reputasyon tackles the issue of how one false accusation can ruin one person’s life and how easy it is for society to condemn the person and their family even without sufficient evidence. During the July 12 press conference for Reputasyon, the show’s lead cast shared their personal thoughts on how important a good reputation is to them.

Used to being linked to various intrigues in the past, lead star Cristine Reyes took a very liberated stance when it comes to the issue. Kasi yun talaga yung reputasyon mo. Alam talaga nila kung sino ka talaga.

Reputasyon’s lead antagonist Aiko Melendez agreed with Cristine’s opinion, but explained it from a political perspective. What matters most is how you are as a person in real life,” she explained.

Playing the role of Cristine’s leading men in the drama series, Rayver Cruz and Jason Abalos shared almost similar opinions on the importance of a good reputation.

For Jason, he considers his reputation as a longtime thing.

As one of the most showbiz veteran members of the cast, Deborah Sun has learned through experience the importance of maintaining a good reputation. “Sa pamilya, pag isa nasira, lahat damay. Damay-damay lahat, ganun.

Another budding love team in the series is the one between Jill Yulo and John James Uy, who both admitted they try hard to establish a good reputation in showbiz. “Siyempre importante yun kasi ‘pag maganda yung reputation mo, marami kang fans.

Actor-model John James Uy said it takes strong character to keep your head high despite people’s wrong impressions of him. “It’s very important to me kasi before people thought I was like loud and crazy. I was always doing something bad. You have to know yourself, kung ano yung totoo. Kasi sa akin, I know the truth, I don’t care what anybody else will say about me because they’re always going to judge you. Just keep your head
