Bea Alonzo says she never thought about falling for Robin Padilla's charm

060511-bea_main.jpgBea Alonzo described her new teleserye Guns and Roses as a fulfillment of one of her childhood dreams because at this early stage in her showbiz career she gets to have Robin Padilla as her leading man.

Since the pre-production period, Bea said that she has heard so many stories about how Robin takes care of her every leading lady like a princess whenever they’re on the set. “Madami na akong narinig na kwento tungkol dun. I must admit na na-excite ako na gusto kong ma-experience sa sarili ko kung paano siya mag alaga ng leading lady.”

Hence when taping began last December, Bea was overwhelmed with the almost VIP treatment she got from the action star. The actress talked about how Robin would almost always ensure that is seated comfortably during break times and that she is closely protected from the crowd.

Robin also has the reputation of having a powerful charm among the ladies that’s why there had been times that his leading ladies were attracted to him. Did this cause any reservation on Bea’s part about accepting this teleserye?

The 23 year-old further explained that she kept a professional relationship with Robin who is eighteen years her senior. “Sa trabaho lang nakatuon ‘yung isip ko. When I read the script nakita ko agad na ibang Robin ang makikita ng mga tao. His accomplishments alone speak so much about him.

She added that her suitor Zanjoe Marudo never felt jealous over her intimate scenes with Robin in Guns and Roses.

During the press conference for the show Guns and Roses, Bea received a heartfelt compliment from another co-star, Isabel Rivas who plays her mother in the series. Isabel said, “I’m a fan of Bea. Star-struck nga ako sa kanya nung first day of taping namin. Eventually you learn to accept and love everything about her.”

A very flattered Bea in return described Isabel as a professional actress and an easy person to work with. Nae-excite ako kapag nalalaman sa script na may kukunan akong eksena with her. She’s very professional and nice to work with.”
