Empress shares why she looks up to Bea Alonzo as a big sister

062811-empress_main.jpgCurrently seen on primetime playing the role of Joni in the action drama series Guns and Roses, Empress is happy with the reviews her new show has received. Masaya rin ako dahil maganda rin yung feedback sa aming dalawa ni Ejay (Falcon) as a new love team. Masaya kaming lahat, wala kaming worries. Basta we’re focused on giving out best sa mga tao and kung paano naming ime-maintain or kung paano naman mapapaganada para mas lalo nila magustuhan yung show,” she shared with Push.com.ph.

Out of all her Guns and Roses cast-mates, Empress admitted she is closest to Bea Alonzo whom she had first worked with in the 2002 teen drama show K2BU. So masaya, wala akong ilang sa set. Lahat kami okay,” she shared.

The 18-year-old actress admitted that Bea sometimes even gives her advice on her personal life when they have free time on the set. “Wala namang ganun kalalim na advice siyang sinasabi pero parang about love life or boys ganyan, sa mga nanliligaw. Kasi siyempre siya marami na siyang pinagdaanan tapos magsa-start pa lang so ayun, yung mga kulitan or katuwaan lang na small things na pinag-uusapan namin,” she said.

Although they only have a five-year age gap, Empress shared that even though they don’t always get the chance to work with each other, Bea will always be a big sister to her.

Just like any little sister, Empress looks up to Bea in terms of her professionalism when working and her acting skills. “Si Ate Bea naman talaga parang magaling talaga umarte and she has her own acting style and iba-iba naman lahat ng tao. Sa lahat naman ng Star Magic, may kanya-kanyang pag-atake pagdating sa acting so ako, parang I admire yung pagiging seryoso niya sa trabaho niya at saka pag um-acting siya, acting talaga. Hindi niya pinapabayaan ang bawat eksena,” she told Push.com.ph.

Empress said that she also enjoys working with action star Robin Padilla, who is paired with Bea onscreen. “Ang bait niya. Nakakakilig silang dalawa, off and on cam. Nakakakilig kasi alam naman nating lahat na si sir Robin gentleman tapos magalang talaga siya sa mga babae, talagang inaalalayan niya so ayun mabait siya, mabait siyang katrabaho, mabait siyang tao,” she shared.

With regards to her onscreen partner Ejay Falcon, Empress said they have already become quite comfortable with each other on and off cam. Kung may gusto kaming sabihin namin sa isa’t isa para mag-work yung scene,” she said.
