Gerald Anderson says he enjoyed meeting his foreign fans in Singapore

062011-gerald-main.jpgWhen Push.com.ph caught up with Gerald Anderson  at the Star Cinema trade launch event held last June 16 at the ABS-CBN compound, the actor reveals he is excited for his latest project which he has yet to iron out the details of. “May gagawin akong drama, sa ngayon wala pa akong maraming alam but I’m very excited to hear the story and I know it’s going to be a powerhouse cast.”

Fresh from his recent four-day vacation in Singapore, Gerald Anderson says he enjoyed his first visit to the Lion City which he toured with his mom, his stylist and Fred Payawan, one of his closest friends from Pinoy Big Brother. “Nag-ikot ikot lang kami dun, had fun. We visited Sentosa. Nag-Night Safari din kami,” he shares with Push.com.ph.

The 22-year-old actor admits that he didn’t expect he would be able to help overcome his fear of snakes during their short stay in Singapore. “Sa Night Safari, na-overcome yung fear ko dun kasi I have a fear of snakes. Natakot talaga ako. as in makikita niyo dun sa video na sobrang tagal bago ko nahawakan pero yung mga tao sigaw sila ng sigaw so medyo nagkaroon naman ako ng lakas ng loob so ayun, ginawa ko (laughs),” he admits.

Gerald is also surprised to find out that he had non-Filipino fans in Singapore. “I didn’t know na very big pala yung Tayong Dalawa dun kaya sobra akong natuwa. Yung iba akala ko Pinoy kaya Tinagalog ko tapos sinabihan ako na ‘No, were locals,” he relates. Gerald says he was so happy to be appreciated by not just his kababayans but Singaporeans as well.

Another thing Gerald made sure to enjoy in the city aside from shopping was food-tripping. “Sobrang sarap nung food dun kahit yung turo-turo lang. Yun yung masarap talaga. Yung nasa tabi-tabi lang. I also took the MRT nila dun habang namamasyal,” he says. Although he is leaving the country again next month to do a show in Hong Kong, Gerald says he is looking forward to seeing more of the world in the coming months. “Gusto ko rin pumunta Macau. I want to traval around Asia muna kasi lagi kaming nasa States. Gusto ko rin mag-Europe ulit,” he admits.
