She is now visible on ASAP Rocks weekly, and in numerous out-of-town shows all over the country to promote her self-titled album. Angeline is also the voice behind ABS-CBN’s summer station ID jingle and the theme song “Mahiwaga” for the drama series 100 Days to Heaven.

Angeline, along with Erik Santos, will also be the voice behind DZMM’s 25th  anniversary station jingle which will be launched on June 12. The new jingle, had the Star Power winner performing onstage at the CCP with no less than the Philippine Philharmonic Orchestra and the U.P Concert Chorus.

Lately, the 21-year-old singer has had to deal with numerous comparisons to her idol Regine Velasquez because of similarities in their singing style and appearance. Angeline says that she is slowly learning to deal with showbiz intrigues like that and she just wants to take everything in stride.

Angeline said that despite the comments, she hopes to be able to make a name for herself and slowly move out of her idol’s shadow. Kaya yun siguro yung talagang susubukan ko baguhin,” she shared during the DZMM 25th anniversary jingle press conference held at the CCP Little Theater last May 26.

In defense of Angeline, Regine told Push.com.ph in an March 17 interview that she didn’t believe that Angeline was copying her style. The songbird was quoted as saying, “Kapag naguumpisa ka talaga laging kang maikukumpara. Eventually she will have her own style. Siguro nai-influence lang siya pero hindi naman niya talaga ginagaya,” she told Push.com.ph Regine even went as far as saying she is very much open to collaborating with Angeline in a duet in the future if the opportunity arises.

Angeline admitted that physically, she has had to undergo major changes on her road to stardom.

Despite her efforts at individuality, Angeline also knows she cannot please everybody.
