Vice Ganda says he will never leave 'Showtime' in favor of his new show

052111-vice-main.jpgVice Ganda is excited to show what else he can do through his upcoming Sunday “chat-show” Gandang Gabi, Vice. The comedian described the program as “a chat show, tsikahan lang with my guests, tapos maraming segments na puro katatawanan lang. Hindi masyadong seryoso, hindi mabigat na tsikahan.” He added that Gandang Gabi, Vice is a break for viewers from the daily dramatic teleseryes. “’Di ba ‘pag Sunday family day? Hindi ito gag-show [or] spoof.

Vice described his new show as a big break. “It’s a big opportunity, this is a very important chance na kailangan ko talagang pagbutihan.” The Showtime resident judge also explained that he will showcase something entirely different from what he usually does in the daily talent-search program. “We’ll make sure na totally different ang show na ito sa Showtime na araw-araw kong ginagawa,” said Vice. For one, he said that his look will be more mellow compared with his flamboyant fashion in Showtime.

He also denied that he will give up Showtime because of Gandang Gabi, Vice. He justified, “First and foremost, I cannot leave Showtime kasi meron akong contract, talagang hindi ko siya maiiwanan kasi may kontrata.” Apart from that, Vice said that he cannot leave the morning show because he loves all the people behind it.

The comedian-host shared that he is not worried about getting exhausted now that he will be working seven days a week because he has already adjusted to the demands of his work. Last year, Vice took a break from Showtime for a couple of weeks because he got burned out. “Comedy bar (where he used to work as a stand-up comedian) tapos konting guesting sa TV, ganon.
