051411-mariel-main.jpgMariel Rodriguez admitted that being a wife to Robin Padilla wasn’t easy at first. During the first few months following their August wedding last year in India, Mariel would often post on her Twitter account about her difficulties in doing some household chores for her husband. But in a recent interview with Push.com.ph, the TV host/actress said that she would never have her life any other way.

Mariel further confessed that she has chosen to become a “submissive” wife to Robin who is fifteen years her senior, as she believes that the key to a happy and peaceful marriage is for the wife to give in to her husband’s will. I want to be a submissive wife to him.

She then talked about the time when she had to leave Robin for a while to be in Lingayen, Pangasinan to co-host Happy Yipee Yehey. That was the first time Mariel would spend more than a day away from her husband, hence she found it very difficult to say goodbye to Robin. Very particular sa time 'yang si Robin. Ayaw na ayaw niya nale-late. Sabi niya, 'Ano, magmamadali kayo sa biyahe? Delikado!’

Upon arriving in Lingayen, Mariel missed her husband so much that she tried texting him. Sabi ko, ‘No! Gusto ko ng signal!’”

She also shared how she feels lucky to be married to Robin who must be the kindest person she knows. While driving to Lingayen, Mariel couldn’t stop complaining about the scorching summer heat. But she chose not to tell Robin about it because she doesn’t want him to have any worries while they are apart. “Parang impyerno talaga sa init. ‘Yung aircon ng kotse parang heater na. Aminin niyo mainit talaga ngayon!
