Charlene Gonzales on Aga Muhlach and Angel Locsin's intense love scene: 'It was beautifully done'

051211-charlene_main.jpgAfter watching In The Name Of Love, Charlene Gonzales couldn’t hide the fact that she cried throughout the movie’s heart-breaking scenes and was very proud that her husband Aga Muhlach is part of such a world-class movie. “Sa simula pa lang umiyak na ako. Tignan mo itsura ko.  I would say that it’s a masterpiece. Direk Olive (Olivia Lamasan), ang galing mo talaga! It's Philippine Cinema's finest—Si Inang, yung buong cast, pati yung soundtrack ang ganda-ganda. Lahat talaga perfect. Hindi ko sinasabi ito dahil nandito yung asawa ko, but it’s really one of the best movies I’ve seen,” she said during the premiere night of In The Name of Love last May 10.

Charlene shared that she was particularly moved by Aga’s unforgettable encounters with his brother and son in the film, portrayed by Emilio Garcia and Maliksi Morales. “Gusto ko yung confrontation scene. Yung eksena ni Aga with his kuya and his son. Ayoko naman sabihin lahat ng mga moments kasi there's a lot of shining moments in the movie and kung sasabihin ko baka ma-spoil naman yung mga moviegoers. Basta sa simula pa lang talaga mapapa-wow ka talaga. From the beginning, to the middle, to the end, talagang maraming scenes na talagang magugulat ka. But I’m sure you’d come out inspired and mas lalo ka maniniwala sa pag-ibig.

A lot of people were surprised though with Aga’s very passionate love scene with Angel during the latter part of the film. But despite having seen her husband share several intense kissing scenes with his leading lady, Charlene didn’t show any traces of jealousy because of the whole thing. No, no... From the moment I met Aga, magkaibigan na kami and ito na yung trabaho niya. I understand dahil pareho yung industriya that we go around so sa akin ok lang yun.  And I understand na kasama lahat yun sa work. It was beautifully done, very nice,” she said with a smile.

More than anything else, she was happy with the positive feedback that In The Name Of Love is getting especially from the avid fans of Aga and Angel who came in full force that same night. “Siyempre nakakataba ng puso ‘di ba? And alam ko lahat ng hirap na pinagdaanan nila kasi 14 months nila ginawa yung movie na ito and they all worked so hard. It was nice to see in the silver screen na finally tapos na. It was beautifully done.”
