Sarah Geronimo says she and Cristine Reyes are becoming closer after their rift

051011-sarah1_main.jpgSarah Geronimo and Cristine Reyes are slowly becoming friends after they had a rift involving Rayver Cruz, Cristine’s current boyfriend and Sarah’s ex. In separate interviews, the two have said that they are willing to work with each other. “Actually, before pa naman nagkakasama na kami ni Cristine sa production numbers sa ASAP,” Sarah said at the launch of her album, One Heart. “Sabi ko nga [sa kanya] sana makapag-duet tayo.” She revealed that she even gave Cristine some advice in singing. “Gustong-gusto niya ang pagkanta and nakikita ko ‘yun,” said Sarah about Cristine. “Sabi ko nga, ‘bakit di mo seryosohin? Mag-voice lessons ka.’ Ganun naman ‘yun, eh. Pag-aaralan mo ‘yung isang bagay.”

The Pop Princess confirmed that she and Cristine sometimes exchange text messages, but denied that they open up about each other’s personal problems. “Hindi naman. Tama lang,” was all what Sarah would say.

While Sarah, Cristine, and Rayver have put the love-triangle controversy behind them, the Pop Princess said that she understands if some of her fans have not yet gotten over the said issue because they feel bad for her. “Bawat isa naman may sariling pakiramdam, may sariling feelings, may sariling opinyon. Lahat ng mga nangyari nirerespeto natin ‘yon.”

On a positive note, Sarah said that her painful experience with Rayver has taught her an important lesson when it comes to emotions.

Sarah even joked that she was able to put her heartbreak to good use when she had to emote in her music video for her latest album. Sarah admitted that what makes her album special is that she could relate to most of the love songs included in it.

With all the recent challenges and controversies she had to endure, Sarah explained that God is the one who is in her heart right now.

Sarah said she has not yet found a special guy but continued that the qualities she looks for in a guy are the same; God-fearing and respectful.

Sarah’s One Heart album from Viva Records will be released in major record bars beginning May 13.
