Charlene Gonzales on her birthday wish: 'I stopped asking for things a long time ago'

050211-charlene-main.jpgThe Buzz host Charlene Gonzales was delightfully surprised when husband Aga Muhlach interviewed her for her 37th birthday celebration on the show. Her former interviewees also shared their wishes for the host and Charlene was very thankful to hear from them. “Thank you for the trust na binigay niyo sa akin dito sa The Buzz, every time that you give a moment to chat and to talk with me. Each moment is very special. I just want you know every time we get a chance to talk, our friendship gets deeper and deeper and maraming, maraming salamat coming from my heart.”

When Aga asked how she feels about her work, Charlene says she owes him and her family a lot to able to achieve what she has now career wise. “Hindi ko alam kung pini-playtime ako ni Aga o hindi. (laughs) Seriously Alam naman ng asawa ko how much I love my work. He sees that it’s a big sacrifice sa family natin, na pagdating ng Saturday and Sunday talagang, you leave me alone, you give me time to know my material and of course ngayon pa lang nagpapasalamat ako sa ‘yo cause it’s a big sacrifice on your part and sa mga anak natin.

Charlene could only laugh and give Aga a playful swat when asked her ‘Kelan ka huling kinilig?’ “Kanino pa ba? Eto ngayon. That’s 10 years of marriage, sa May 28 ang tenth year wedding anniversary namin ni Aga. Tignan mo namumula ako… (Bago matulog) ang iniisip ko ang bango-bango ng asawa ko at ang gwapo niya! Alam mo naman to na araw-araw nagpapasalamat ako sa Diyos he gave me a good husband like you and wonderful children. Alam mo yan, pinaguusapan natin yan to make what we have work at yan ang unang priority natin sa buhay.

When Aga asked what else she wants for her birthday, Charlene said she is happy with what she has. “I stopped wishing a long time ago. All I do is dream. Because when you dream, you live your life without expectation. When you dream that’s what motivates you to become a better person At kung ano man ang dumating sa buhay mo you’ll always appreciate everything and be grateful with whatever life has in store for you. Hindi na ko nagwiwish ng kahit ano pa.

Sa palagay ko ang number one priority ng lahat is our God. And everything else follows. And your family. When you try to live a life that’s straight, you try to be on that path, with good intentions and love in your heart, lahat sumusunod na.

Eto na to eh, I stopped asking for things a long time ago. Because you can’t change the past but your can only hope for the future. Pero etong present is the only time you can make a difference. So niyayakap ko lang yung moment na ‘to.

Also present on The Buzz were her kids, twins Atasha and Andres. Andres performed a Taylor Swift song on his guitar and gave his mom the special message ‘I love you more than Taylor Swift!’ Atasha on the other hand sang “Sana Maulit Muli.”

They also gave Charlene birthday cards which Aga read on air. Luigi, Aga’s eldest son with actress Janice De Belen and his wife Patty, were also there to greet Charlene. “Happy birthday. Thank you for always being here for me, for Patty, for Leandro. I just wish you the best.”
