AJ Perez will be remembered for being a good person

042911-ajcostars_main.jpgAs close friends and co-workers of AJ Perez came to visit to his wake, everyone couldn’t help but look back on the good times they had with the late actor. They all described 18-year-old AJ, who died in vehicular accident last April 17, as someone who embodied so much positive values. A few celebrities shared why AJ is someone who will live in anyone’s memories forever.

KC Concepcion
Na-interview ko siya twice, once sa Simply KC then sa The Buzz. Sabi ko sa daddy niya he has a good reputation. People always had the best things to say about him. I think that’s the best gift AJ could’ve given his parents. Napakabuti niyang tao, mabuting kaibigan, katrabaho.

Rafael Rosell (AJ’s co-star in Your Song presents Underage)
“Very tragic ‘yung nangyari sa kanya. He always smiles. He seems to be living a good life.”

Sam Milby (co-star in Ang Tanging Pamilya and Babe, I Love You)
Sobrang sayang dahil napaka-bright ng future niya. He would’ve been the next in line to be built up. No one will ever talk bad about him kasi lagi siyang nakangiti and ang bait bait. He’s a person you would want to be around with. He gives off good vibes, high energy. I know he’s in a better place now. I’m sure he’s happy and that’s for eternity na. Lahat kami, he touched our lives. We’ll keep all the memories we had of him.”

Eugene Domingo (co-star in Mamarazzi, AJ’s last movie)
Sana nung nakasama ko siya sa pelikula marami pa kaming napagusapan. Sana nakinig pa ako sa kanya nang maraming niyang gustong tanungin kasi he was really so eager to learn.”

Father Tito Caluag, in his homily during the last mass before the internment last April 26, prayed that the actor’s parents, Gerry and Marivic Perez, and younger brother Gello, would look beyond the grief and pain, and instead, remember only the good things about their beloved AJ.

“I pray that you will continue to remember him in the coming days. Yes, there will be pain as you remember him. But remember that deep inside your hearts, you will hear the echo of AJ. Even if he’s gone, he will continue to whisper in your hearts the things that he loved, the things that you taught him. Do not be afraid. Go back to the moments that you shared with AJ, everything that you have been through. There you will see AJ.”
