The Songbird recently confirmed that she is weeks pregnant with her first child so husband Ogie shared that his wife needs to have a lot of rest. “Ngayon kailangan kong maging nurse,” beamed Ogie, referring to taking care of his pregnant wife. The songwriter continued that Regine will no longer come with him to Australia this July to visit Ogie’s daughters and ex-wife Michelle Van Eimeren.

He also said recently that he is grateful for the blessings coming his way in his career and personal life. Aside from having a child, the singer-comedian was ecstatic about the success of BalikaBayani, the benefit concert organized by the OPM (Original Pinoy Music) headed by Ogie to help raise funds for OFWs, who returned to the country due to the tension happening in Middle East. “Alam mo nagpapatunay lang ‘yan na ang Panginoon ‘pag nag-bless, hindi isa lang eh, dalawa, tatlo, apat, lima, anim!” he said. Ogie was also thankful to his fellow performers who took part in the drive. “I am in awe and humbled by their gesture of generosity. Lagi silang tumutulong.

Ogie said that it is just but proper to do something to help his fellowmen, whom are considered as heroes. “Ang ating mga OFWs ay kailangan ng tulong, obviously. Imbes na mag-complain ka sa gobyerno na bakit walang ginagawa o kulang, let’s do something about it. Kahit sino pwedeng gumawa non.
