Aiko Melendez says her three failed relationships didn't break her belief in love.
Now that she’s single again, Aiko Melendez is very much happy to go back to her first love, which is acting. She will be reunited with ex-husband Jomari Yllana as they play the parents of child star Bugoy Cariño in the upcoming ABS-CBN teleserye Atom
. In an interview, Aiko joked about her on screen reunion with Jomari. “I’m happy to be single again. Maganda nga ‘yung
project na ito.
I’ll be working with Jomari na hindi ko iisipin kung may magseselos.
I’m free ngayon, at free rin siya ngayon. Hay!
Sign na ito na matindi na hindi ko kinakaya! Ha ha ha!”
Aiko also talked about her split from Bulacan Mayor Patrick Meneses, though the actress chose to respect the latter’s private life. The actress nevertheless shared her wish that someday she and Patrick will be on good terms. “Siguro darating ang araw na magiging
okay din kami.
Honestly ayoko siyang pagusapan kasi magiging
unfair for him because hindi naman siya artista.
He’s a very private person. Kung ano man ‘yung pinagdaanan namin hihilingin ko na ibalato niyo muna sa amin.”
Regarding her second ex-husband, former model Martin Jickain, Aiko said that they are good friends at the moment and very much involved in raising their daughter Marthena. “Martin and I are okay. Isa nga siya sa mga kinikilig sa
Aiko-Jomari love team. Si Martin nagtu-

fan siya ng
Aiko-Jomari. Lahat ng nangyayari sa paligid ko ngayon
are okay. Good vibes lang.”
Aiko added that she is just thankful that despite the failed marriage, she managed to establish a good friendship with her Jomari and Martin. “Hindi ko mako-
level. Magkaiba silang tao.
Martin is younger than Jomari. Si Martin nakakausap ko nang
more pabiro, si

With her two failed marriages and a recent split, the 35-year-old actress said that she has learned a lot of lessons, but this doesn’t mean that she’s already giving up on love. “Ang
wish ng lahat ng tao ay maging masaya. Pero ang mali ng karamihan, kinukuhha nila ‘yung
happiness sa isang tao lang. Ngayon binubuo ko muna ‘yung sarili ko. Alam ko naman na naka-
strike three na ako, pero hindi ako natatakot maka-
strike four, o
five, kahit six. E kung
in the end magiging masaya naman pala ako.”
She went on to joke about her upcoming project with Jomari, which might pave the way for them to get back together. “We’ll never know, baka bumalik ako dun sa
strike one ko
(Jomari). Ito kasi ang nagsimula ng lahat, ha ha ha! Na-
break ang puso ko kaya ayan napariwara tuloy ako, ha ha ha!”
