Zsa Zsa Padilla reveals why she is not keen on making movies

041411-zsazsa_main.jpgZsa Zsa Padilla said that she was surprised when she won the best supporting actress award at the ENPRESS Golden Screen Awards last February for her role in the independent film, Sigwa. The Divine Diva explained that she was not hoping to win an award when she accepted the role, which she described as out of her comfort zone. “Nagulat ako. I did that project basta for Direk Joel Lamangan, so wala akong expectations whatsoever,” she related. “But I liked my character because it’s a far cry from you know, who I really am. [The character is] taga-bundok and all that. I like the story, it has a very good message.”

However, the singer-actress clarified that acting will not be her priority despite the recent recognition she received. She explained, “When it comes to me lang I don’t go out of my way to look for a project. If it comes, it comes.”

After Sigwa, Zsa Zsa said that she has no movie projects yet but she was quick to add that she is open to acting offers. “If there’s an offer [why not?], but I’m not on the lookout for a project like that because I’m trying to lessen my workload. Kasi minsan meron [offer] and then we’re waiting and everything and then ‘di matutuloy, nakaka-disappoint din, eh. So you know, sometimes feeling mo siguradong-sigrado na and then may mga producers na ni-ha, ni-ho [wala]. Sana lang may konting level of professionalism. Sometimes it gets irritating, [tipong], ‘O, what happened there?’”

Zsa Zsa also denied recurring reports that her partner Dolphy’s health is getting worse. She justified that if the news were true, she would not be interviewed or be seen working and would most likely be beside Dolphy. She went on to say that Dolphy is very much okay and is busy taping for his fantasy program for another TV network.
