Jericho Rosales insists that he and Carmen Soo never had a romantic relationship

041311-echo_main.jpgJericho Rosales revealed in an interview that he recently met up with Malaysian actress Carmen Soo, his leading lady in the 2008 teleserye Kahit Isang Saglit, when the actress recently came to the country for a visit. “Oo nagkita kami nung dumating siya dito. We had dinner with my manager (Angeli Pangilinan).”

The versatile actor also refused to dwell on persistent rumors that he and Carmen supposedly had a romantic relationship. When Jericho staged a concert last February, a video clip of Echo and his past girlfriends—plus Carmen—was shown. “Huwag na, ayaw na ni Carmen na pag-usapan ‘yon,” Echo replied when pressed about the issue. “Pinagtatawanan lang namin ni Carmen ‘yung mga issue na dumating sa amin.” Though it was rumored that they were a couple while they were doing their teleserye, the two denied that they ever had anything romantic going on.

Meanwhile, the actor is very grateful that his career continues to flourish since he made a successful comeback some years ago. Aside from his current teleserye, Green Rose, the actor has a lot of product endorsements. His international movie, Subject: I Love You is also coming out really soon.
Aside from his flourishing film and TV career, Jericho is also finally being recognized as a singer, with his songs currently doing well in the local charts, like “Gaano Katagal” and “Bumuhos Man Ang Ulan,” which is the theme of Green Rose.

Jericho also recently shot the music video of “Bumuhos Man Ang Ulan” together with Anne Curtis, his leading lady in Green Rose. He said that the music video will be released this coming week.

Bumuhos Man Ang Ulan” is Echo’s original composition, which he did when Green Rose started production. “Na-compose ko siya nung mag-shoot kami ng Green Rose and then a few weeks after sinulat ko ‘yon,” he related. “Sabi ni Tito Deo (Endrinal, business unit head), gawin ko ‘yung song so ginawa ko nagustuhan ni Tito Deo.”
