Host-actress Ruffa Gutierrez says she will not entertain anymore intrigues about her renewed friendship with Kris Aquino.
After they finally buried the hatchet on their longstanding rift during the Tatak EDSA 25 concert last February 25, Ruffa Gutierrez admitted that she felt like a big weight was lifted after Kris Aquino’ reconciliatory gesture. “Masayang-masaya ako na
okay na kami ni
Kris. At least nabunutan na ako ng tinik at wala na kaming problema
whatsoever so kahit magkita kami sa isang
event, okay na.
You know she’s very warm and friendly. Masarap yung ganung pakiramdam, wala kang iniiwasan na tao
,” she said during Mark Nicdao’s Vantage book launch and silent auction held last March 6 at the Fashion Walk of Greenbelt 5 in Makati City.
The outspoken former beauty queen said that at this point, she has learned to not let intrigues get in the way of their renewed friendship because it is important to her. “Huwag na natin i
-complicate yung mga intriga. Ang importante
okay na kami ni
Kris kasi kung lahat ng mga intriga papansinin namin, wala ng mangyayari ‘di ba? Para sa akin, mabuti na yung
peaceful kami, nagkasundo kami. Yun ang importante.
So huwag na natin intrigahin yung pagkakaayos namin
,” she explained.
The host-actress also said that she knows Kris well enough to say that they are both ready to become friends again. “Si
Kris prangka yan, ‘pag hindi siya
ready makipagbati, hindi ako babatiin
So hindi niya kailangan makipag-plastikan o makipag-bolahan sa akin
,” she added.
The EDSA concert, which Ruffa hosted along with Kris and Ai-Ai De las Alas, was a good opportunity for them to show how well they can still work together. Ruffa admitted it would not be too farfetched to say that they might even consider working together again on a show in the future. “Nung sinabi ni
EDSA na hindi malayong mangyari, malay n’yo puwede kami mag-
host ulit ni
Ai-Ai at Kris together in one show. Ang kulang na lang magkasama kami ulit sa isang
show. Umiikot lang naman yung mundo,
you’ll never know ‘di ba? Oo naman, para sa amin talagang
past is past. No more na
,” she said.
Ruffa also added that things have also been smoothed over between Kris and her mom Annabelle Rama. “Okay na
okay na rin si
mommy at saka si
Kris. All’s well that ends well so masayang-masaya ako at oo nakakapag
-text na din ulit kami,
” she said.
During the Vantage book launch and exhibit, Ruffa arrived with Smartmatic Asia Pacific President, Cesar Flores, whom she had reportedly been dating. Push.com.ph noticed that the 36-year-old Venezuelan, who escorted Ruffa to the event, did not leave her side the entire evening, even while she was doing interviews. But the Ruffa brushed off speculations that there is anything serious going on in her love life at the moment. “I’m enjoying the company of other people and para sa akin, trabaho muna,
” she said.
