Senator Kiko Pangilinan explains that he just wants his children to be happy.
Senator Francis “Kiko” Pangilinan recently led the formal opening of his restaurant along Tomas Morato Avenue called Messa. The senator said that he gets a different kind of fulfillment in this aspect of his life.
He continued that his achievement should be an inspiration to people with dreams.
Sen. Kiko has at least four other restaurant businesses. He explained that even if he is not a businessman at heart, he is happy that his businesses are turning out well.
On the personal front, the senator also confirmed that he has already met Piolo Pascual, the boyfriend of his stepdaughter KC Concepcion. But the politician refused to talk in detail about Piolo. “Basta we have met on several occasions and he joined us in a number of family gatherings.” He was then asked how he finds the actor, but his response did not encourage further questioning. “We have met… kung masaya si KC, then we’re happy also. Kung saan siya masaya, masaya rin kami.”
As for his other children, Sen. Kiko explained that he tries to make time for his daughters, Frankie and Miel. We hope to be able to do that again,” he said.
He said that he does not mind if his kids decide to enter showbiz, but said that they need to finish their education first. Frankie and Miel have already appeared in commercials.
Sen. Kiko and Sharon adopted a baby boy named Miguel last year and the senator explained that they are still waiting for the approval of the adoption papers. He added that they are hoping that the approval will happen within the year.
Since they have four kids already; KC, Frankie, Miel, and Baby Miguel, Sen. Kiko said that he is not pushing to have another baby. He went on to explain that it is also more difficult for Sharon to get pregnant now because of possible complications. “Maybe we’re happy now with four at ang obligasyon ng mga magulang sa anak lahat mabigyan ng tamang oras at panahon kaya kung dadagdagan pa namin ‘yan, eh baka mabawasan ‘yung oras sa iba.”
