Kris Aquino says she will respect whoever James Yap chooses to date

031311-kris_main.jpgAfter rumors of James Yap and Isabel Oli dating came up late last year (which both parties vehemently denied), the public could only speculate on how the news would affect Kris Aquino, who has already filed for annulment from her ex-husband. During Mark Nicdao’s Vantage magazine launch and exhibit last March 6 at the Fashion Walk of Greenbelt 5 in Makati City, the host-actress chose to be diplomatic in her answers when it came to talking about women being linked to James. “You know, in the same way na I would hate for James to have an opinion on anybody that comes into my life in the future, I have no opinion whatsoever. Out of respect because ayoko na pakialaman nila ako sa buhay ko later on. Ayoko makialam sa life nila ngayon,” she said.

The popular talk show host even admitted she is willing to even befriend the next woman that comes into James’s life as long as that person fulfills one special condition. “Ako lang, isa lang ang criteria, mahalin si Bimby. Kung mamahalin si Bimby, okay na mamahalin ni James. Yung sincere ha, sincere lang. Huwag yung magpapaka-wicked stepmother. Kung ganun, puwede ko i-best friend, promise! Kasi nakikita mo na yan ang maganda eh. The children benefit talaga when the parents are friends,” she explained.

Kris shared that she and James are on better terms now and have even come to a point wherein they are comfortable joking with each other again. So okay naman kami, nakakapagbiruan naman kami,” she shared.

Currently busy everyday with her regular showbiz commitments and endorsements, the 40-year-old mother of two says she is looking forward to an upcoming vacation abroad with her sons Josh and Bimby. “I’ll be gone for 18 days with the kids for Holy Week. Pupunta kami ng States tapos meron kaming Mexican cruise. Kasi birthday ni Bimby so I asked him to choose kung anong gusto niya and the two boys really love cruises so mag-cru-cruise kami ulit,” she said.

Kris said she is also content to put her love life in the backseat for now because she is not ready to get into a serious commitment. “My family is not ready. Hindi, hindi sila ready. Pati ako hindi ready. Masunurin lang ako. Hindi sila handa. Mahahanda daw sila sa June 30, 2016. Kapag nag-step down na raw si P-Noy dun sila handa (laughs). So I said okay why not. Let’s wait,” she said with a smile.

Kris also brushed off intrigues that continue to hound and question the sincerity of her recent reconciliation with Ruffa Gutierrez. “If they choose to see the negative wala na akong magagawa. Pero Ruffa knows and I know that we were there as true as we could be, so deadma na kung hindi sila maligaya na okay kami. Wala akong paki,” she stressed.
