Jovit Baldivino wants to become a movie actor

Pilipinas Got Talent first grand winner Jovit Baldivino said that he was surprised when he found out that there would be a repeat of his Faithfully concert, which he staged last November 2010. The singer will hold his repeat concert at the Waterfront Hotel in Cebu on February 11 and on February 26 at the Music Museum in Greenhills. "Nabigla po ako nung sinabi nila na magkakaroon ako ng second concert (series). Iniisip ko po andami-daming artista, andami-daming singer, ako pa ang binigyan ng pagkakataon," said the teenage singer in his recent press conference. Among his guests are Melai Cantiveros, Jason Francisco, and a lot more.

Since he is already a full-fledged singer, Jovit admitted that his next dream is to become a movie star. "Sana magka-movie na rin ako," he admitted. He said that if he could have his way, he wants to do an action movie. He also revealed that he looks up to Ronnie Ricketts. "Sa drama nahihirapan naman akong umiyak," he said shyly. "[Pero] okay naman po sa akin [ang drama] kakayanin ko po 'lsquo;yun."

Jovit revealed that being an actor is a childhood dream. "'rsquo;Yun po ang paborito ko. 'lsquo;Pag nanonood po ako ng mga shows napapagaya po ako, nakaka-relate po ako," he said and added that he wants to be known as a singer-actor. "Gusto ko po talaga pagsasabayin ko. Para naman po maiba naman po. May artists na pinagsasabay ang singing at acting."

He said that he wants to follow in the footsteps of Pinoy Dream Academy runner-up Jay-R Siaboc, who started out as a singer, but eventually ventured into acting.

The singer from Batangas also said that he is excited about the second season of Pilipinas Got Talent, which is slated to start this February. To all the aspiring singers and performers who intend to join the talent search, Jovit had this to say, "Masasabi ko lang po sa kanila ipagpatuloy nila, galingan nila. Alam ko naman sa Pilipinas napakadaming taong talented na walang makakagaya kahit sino." He continued that even if they lose in the end, they should not give up on their dreams.
