Veteran actress Dina Bonnevie reveals that Kristine Hermosa is a malambing daughter-in-law.
After the January wedding of her son Oyo Boy Sotto to Kristine Hermosa, Who’s That Girl
actress Dina Bonnevie is excited about the prospect of having a granddaughter right away. During the Who’s That Girl
presscon last February 21 at the City Best restaurant in Quezon City,
Dina shared that the two are already trying to conceive. “Kahapon nga
they were telling me na
they’re trying eh, pero
negative pa eh. Parang nag-
test daw siya
the other day. Sabi ko, ‘Anong
result?’ ‘Negative pa mama eh.’ Sabi ko, ‘Bilisan niya na, gawa na kayo para cute
.’ I want a babaeng apo.
Gusto ko talaga ng
baby girl na apo
,” she excitedly shared.
Dina said that she has always welcomed Tin as her own daughter even when Oyo and Tin had just started dating. “Okay naman si
Tin. Maalaga siya
and very sweet. Minsan nagte-
text siya sa akin, ganyan-ganyan. Pag nagkikita kami lagi niya akong inaayusan. Malambing naman siya
,” she said.
Dina shared that if there’s one thing her son requested from her, it’s to teach Tin how to cook Oyo’s favorite dishes. “Gusto nga niya na ituro ko kay
Tin yung hinahanap niyang
food. Willing naman si
Tin mag-aral. Dati kasi, ‘pag may
” she shared.
Now that both her children are married, Dina admitted feeling a little
bit of the empty nest syndrome. “My life is the same thing pa rin naman.
I go to the office. I have a telecoms business. And then I was doing this movie. Yung
telecoms business really keeps me very busy. Pero
after the wedding, dun ko na
‘Oh my God, my house is an empty nest.’ Kasi
normally, every Tuesday or every other Tuesday, dumadaan si Oyo sa bahay ko para kumain ng bagoong, adobo,
or kaldereta.
” she admitted.
During the wedding, Dina said she couldn’t help but feel emotional at the thought of her youngest child leaving her. “Actually nagulat ako kasi nung
Oyo, it was very hard for me to be emotional kasi nga
theme eh. Yung
wedding march pa lang
was Beatles na tapos naka
-rubber shoes sila, naka
-wedding gown, and shades. Parang
wedding. Parang naging
emotional lang ako nung hiningan ako ng
message. Dun talaga
I couldn’t help but really break down. Nung sinasabi ko yung
message talagang nanginginig pa ako habang nagsasalita,
” she recalled.
Now, Dina admitted she is ready to become a lola again in the near future. “Minsan lang parang ‘pag inisip ko kasi, si
Ate Vi (Vilma Santos) nga hindi pa siya
lola eh, parang nauna pa ako
(laughs). Pero ngayon parang
okay na ako. Parang ‘pag meron ka nang isang apo
and then we have another one, it doesn’t change anything anymore eh. It’s all part of life.
. Fresh pa rin. Yan ang importante
,” she said.
Catch Dina in the romantic comedy Who’s That Girl
showing March 2 in cinemas nationwide.
