Garnering the highest score of 90.88 percent, Angeline Quinto landed first place in the Star Power Final Showdown which was held at Ynares Center in Antipolo last February 20. The Pop Belter of Manila burst into tears when Sharon Cuneta announced her as the winner for it was certainly a close fight between her and second placer Krissel Valdez. When Push.com.ph asked her how she feels about her win, Angeline humbly replied, "Hindi po talaga pumasok sa isip ko na ako yung magiging first female pop superstar ng Star Power.

The Star Power Five finalists were all nervous about the outcome of the competition since the night before their final showdown. But Angeline claimed that she was prepared to be a good sport in case she loses the contest. It was Krissel Valdez and K-La Rivera whom she considered as her toughest rivals in Star Power "Super po ang tensyon talaga. Nung gabi pa lang bago ito sobrang pinag-uusapan namin na, 'lsquo;Bukas grand finals na, ano ng mangyayari sa atin?'rsquo; Pero ako po, sa isip ko, kung ano man ang mangyari, tatanggapin ko talaga ng buong puso. Lagi nga sinasabi ni Maam Sharon na kaming lima panalo na talaga kahit ano pa mangyari."'nbsp; 'nbsp;

There was even a technical problem when she sang "What Kind of Fool Am I" for the Personal Choice Category in the beginning of the show. Apparently, Angeline'rsquo;s voice was so powerful that she broke her mic as well as the speakers that were being used at the time. There were instances that her voice came off bad because of the incident but Angeline never lost her composure even for a moment.

Angeline had the biggest number of fans who came to support her at Ynares Center. And she didn'rsquo;t forget to thank them for believing in her talent since day one.

In the meantime, she'rsquo;s looking forward to her first day as an ASAP mainstay on February 27.'nbsp; She said that it would be a dream come true to be able to perform with her idols Sarah Geronimo and Gary Valenciano.
