Vic Sotto shares why he admires Ai Ai Delas Alas on and off camera

122611-aiaivic_main.jpgWith their fantasy-comedy film now showing in theaters nationwide, Vic Sotto admits that he really admires his first time leading lady
and last year’s Metro Manila Film Festival box-office queen Ai Ai Delas Alas. “She’s very funny and I appreciate her sense of humor. Swak kami pagdating sa mga kalokohan, pagdating sa pagpapatawa, pagdating sa outlook sa buhay, the lighter side and the heavier side. Kasi I’ve worked with her
before na once a week. Pero hindi naman talaga kami nagkaka-kuwentuhan kasi pagka-TV series, diri-diretso ang trabaho eh, we hardly have any
time to talk. Over dinner lang ang kuwentuhan diyan,” he shares.

The veteran comedian says that doing a movie together gave them more opportunities to talk. “This time, we had more bonding moments. We had more time to joke with each other, more time to talk about life, love life and all that. Nakita ko na talagang tanging ina siya, even in real life. She may be single right now pero it doesn’t really bother her. Talagang tanging ina pala talaga siya,” he reveals about his co-star.

Vic admits that he really enjoyed shooting the latest installment to the Enteng Kabisote and Tanging Ina series. One of the movie’s highlights included spoofs of Star Cinema hits like You Changed My Life and No Other Woman. “My favorite moments are the downtime moments during the shooting. And as far as the movie is concerned, isa sa mga eksenang na-enjoy ko talaga is yung mga spoof. I usually don’t do that eh. If you notice sa mga pelikula ko, we’re not really into it. Na ginawa ko ngayon kaya I found it really parang enjoyable and tawanan lang kami ng tawanan. Marami din kaming na-spoof.”

The veteran actor-host also admits that their collaboration adds an interesting element to Ina Montecillo’s family. “One thing very nice about this movie is pati si Tanging Ina nagkaroon ng special effects. People are really curious kung anong mangyayari kay Tanging Ina at kay Enteng? Maganda. Pero towards the middle of the story she gets entangled with the magical world of Enteng Kabisote,” he says.

The reigning box-office king hopes that fans will watch their film as well as all the other entries in the Metro Manila Film Festival. I would like to congratulate all the entries especially yung kay Senator Bong Revilla. I think he has a good movie here in Panday 2. I’m excited for Enteng,” he says.
