Julia Montes says she is not yet ready to do a kissing scene with Coco Martin

120311-julia-main.jpgAfter the success of Mara Clara, Julia Montes is ready to go back to heavy drama with her upcoming series Walang Hanggan. The series pairs her up with Kapamilya heartthrob Coco Martin. “Ilo-launch namin either this month or next year pero malamang next year. Hindi pa kami nag-tape pero meron pa akong gagawing workshop for the role. Basta may pagka-medyo level up ng konti. Medyo may mature role ito. Confidential pa siya eh so abangan na lang nila,” she shared.

The 16-year-old actress said that this will also be her first major project without perennial co-star Kathryn Bernardo. “Magkahiwalay na kami dito. Nakakalungkot kasi sinasanay nga kami tapos nagbibiruan na nga kami na, ‘Uyyy, naiiyak na yan!’ kasi nasanay na nga kami na every time may taping, kami yung magkasama. Pero may usapan na kami na kapag nasa taping na, tatawagan ko siya (laughs),” she admitted to Push.com.ph.

Despite stepping into a more serious role in Walang Hanggan, Julia said this does not mean she is ready to bid farewell to her teenybopper image. “Hindi naman siya yung agad-agad ako mag-ma-mature dito. May transition din naman so hindi naman ganun talaga. Nakaka-pressure din (laughs). Siyempre iba na yung role ko ngayon, medyo about love na ito. More on love. Hindi na tulad noon na more on family tapos konting love love, ganun. So medyo serious role na ito.” she said.

Julia said she is also not bothered about the more than ten-year gap between her and her newest leading man, Coco Martin. “Hindi naman siguro kasi nakatrabaho ko na siya before and basta gagawin lang naman namin yung role namin para mas napapadali namin yun. Tulad niya, magaling siyang actor, so mas natutulungan din ako sa character ko. Siguro mapapadali dahil dun,” she said.

Julia admitted she is ready for the possibility of being linked to Coco after the show starts airing because of their onscreen tandem. “Siguro ready naman na ako kasi wala rin namang something. Katulad ng dati na sabi na rin namin na wala so ready naman siguro. Comfortable naman ako sa kanya kasi nga katulad nga nung nakatrabaho ko na siya dati. Siguro kung hindi ko siya nakatrabaho before medyo may hiya factor pa. Ngayon medyo nangangapa pa kami as love team pero okay na ako sa kanya personally,” she admitted.

Despite their level of comfortability, Julia admitted she is still hesitant at the possibility of doing a kissing scene with the popular actor. “Hindi pa ako ready sa age ko. Kung kakailanganin, let’s see. Hindi ako makakapag-decide din kasi agad. Titingnan ko muna lahat nung anggulo kung mapapabuti ba ako dun or ano. Depende rin, depende,” she explained.

Aside from her new teleserye Walang Hanggan, Julia will also be busy with an upcoming project with Sharon Cuneta as well as other things lined up for 2012. “Marami silang dapat abangan. Meron akong movie na gagawin pero surprise kung sino yung kasama ko and meron din akong project with Sharon. Sana matuloy,” she said.
