Toni Gonzaga says she doesn't mind her mom's strictness about her relationship

121411-toni_main.jpgAfter recently signing a three-year exclusive contract with the Kapamilya network, Pinoy Big Brother host Toni Gonzaga revealed that there are still a lot of things she wants to try in her showbiz career. “Siyempre there are a lot of things na gusto ko pang gawin. Gusto kong ma-explore. Actually I’m now thinking of gusto ko naman mag-venture eventually into producing my own show and concert, yun naman siguro. Something in the back of my head na gusto kong gawin kapag may oras (laughs). Sa television work, because of the workload na meron ako parang keri na muna yun, pagbutihin ko na muna yun,” she said.

Toni said that this realization was brought on by her enjoyment in producing her tenth anniversary concert earlier this year. “Kasi yung concert ko sa Araneta Coliseum parang I was part of the whole process, everything from backstage pass to almost everything else. So na-enjoy ko. Sabi ko it’s hard work, but at the same time when you finish a project like that, it’s very fulfilling as an artist and as a producer when you get something accomplished,” she admitted.

For Christmas, Toni revealed that her work schedule will be just as busy as ever. The talented singer-actress admitted that she and longtime boyfriend director Paul Soriano have to allot time in order to see each other. “Masaya naman. Pareho kaming maraming trabaho, parehong gumagawa ng time to spend time with each other and also the family.  As usual it’s the same,” she said.

The 27-year-old host said that even though her mom does not permit it, she looks forward to go traveling with Paul someday in the near future. “Hindi naman kami puwede mag-travel. Kung puwede lang (laughs). Wala kahit Amerika. Pero natanggap na rin naman namin sa four years ba naman, mag-rebelde pa ba ako, kahiya naman (laughs). Mag-27 na rin ako,” she explained.

Although it is public knowledge that her parents, especially her Mommy Pinty, are very strict when it comes to relationships, Toni said she never took it against them. “Bago ako magka-boyfriend, sinabi na sa akin ng Mommy ko yun na,  ‘Gusto mo mag-boyfriend? O ito ang mga patakaran hanggang nakatira ka sa bahay namin.’ So siyempre, susunod lang ako ng susunod.  Tsaka naniniwala naman ako na if ever na God wants na kami ang makasal ni Direk Paul, there will be a lot of things that we’ll be looking forward to. So exciting naman,” she explained.

Toni also admitted that she is very lucky that her boyfriend has been very understanding of the limitations of their relationship. “Parang nasanay na rin kasi nag-usap na kami bago pa man mangyari ang lahat. So malinaw sa akin ang lahat. Kaya yun naman ang na-appreciate ko kay Paul dahil he’s very understanding and actually this is his first time na ma-experience yung ganun. Nagustuhan naman niya. Naa-appreciate niya because ung respect sa family, sa akin ay nandun talaga,” she added.

The Happy Yipee Yehey! host said that despite the nature of their relationship, she is very happy and content with it these past four years. “Sa ibang tao boring pero para sa aming dalawa, kasi hindi naman nila alam talaga yung pag kami na lang, yung family ko, pag kami-kami, masaya rin naman. Akala lang nila hindi masaya. Masaya kami,” she shared.

For the holidays, Toni said she has not even had the time to get her Christmas shopping list in order and is still thinking of a gift for Paul. “Hindi ko pa alam eh. Sa ngayon hindi pa, wala pa kaming ano. Napag-usapan na namin yung mga material na bagay. Kasi kaya naman namin bilhin ‘di ba
