Piolo Pascual's works are available for online bidding for one month to raise money for charity.
A regular fixture in running events for the past few years, Piolo Pascual’s passion for running has always been public knowledge. This year, aside from headlining the Sunset SunPIOLOgy run event held last December 10 at the Fort, Bonifacio Global City in Taguig, the Kapamilya heartthrob also unveiled his photo exhibit which also formally opened the online auction in order to raise money for scholars of the Hebreo Foundation, which Piolo’s family started. The photographs are available for bidding on www.sunpiology.com
Aside from Piolo’s photographs, which were taken during his trips to various parts of the world, the exhibit also features the paintings of talented Hebreo scholar-artist Omar Flores. “This is a partnership with Sunlife and our foundation, Hebreo foundation. It’s on its third year and this time around we invited Hebreo scholars to do their own depiction of their artwork, of me, dun sa
ten years ko sa
business. That’s actually intertwined with the twelve photographs that I took and it’s exciting because it’s a different theme. It’s called Panoramic Portals with Omar, sa kanya
paintings, sa akin
photographs,” he shared during the Sunlife press lunch held last December 10 at the Sunlife building in Fort Bonifacio Global City.
After the exhibit opening, Piolo then joined the vertical run as well as the 10-kilometer run in the sunset event with more than 2,000 other running enthusiasts. “This coincides with the run that Sunlife CEO Risa Mantarang and I are doing. We also have other scholars from Batangas running in the 500 meters and then some of the sponsors and supporters who are also part of the event are coming dun sa
activity center for all the runners. It’s a festive event. I’m excited because my partnership with Sunlife is always growing, it’s always evolving,” he explained.
Piolo also shared that his son Inigo, who is based abroad, also shares the same passion for running. “We were on the phone kanina
and he just came from a run also. There was a run in his school in L.A. Nakakatuwa
because almost at the same time tumatakbo kami.
He’s also into the same sport,” he said.
For the holidays, Piolo admitted that he has no plans to leave the country. “We’re spending it here, dito lang
. Some of my nieces and nephews just arrived from the States and my sister is arriving next week. Magkakasama kami rito.
Even my mom has been here since last month and magkakasama yung buong
family dito sa
Manila,” he said.
Piolo also shares that the Pascual clan celebrate just like any traditional Pinoy family. “It’s very simple. Usually we have a traditional na
Christmas dinner, yung noche buena
. I have five siblings so kung sino matoka na bahay, dun kami
and after Christmas kasi may mga kanya-kanyang pamilya rin
. We usually go out-of-town but this year we decided na dito kami sa Pilipinas
so lahat ng pamilya ko pati ng mga bata
and my mom. We’re going out of town after Christmas,” he said.
For his Christmas wish, the talented actor said he hopes that the Philippines will have better weather in the future. “I guess gusto ko wala ng gaanong kalamidad kasi ang hirap
for our community kasi kahit
resilient tayo, mahirap pa rin kahit
holidays may mga bagyo, may mga kalamidad na nangyayari na hindi natin ma-kontrol
so I just pray na hindi ganun ka-grabe para
at least may mas magandang pasko yung mga kababayan natin
,” he admitted.
