Janelle Manahan on Genelyn Bautista: 'Hindi ko siya gustong saktan'

121211-janelle-main.jpgIn an exclusive tell-all interview with The Buzz, Janelle Manahan recounted the night of Ramgen Revilla's murder and how she survived the tragedy by staying calm and asking for God's help and forgiveness. Although she was worried of Ramgen's critical condition, she had high hopes that he would make it through because he's a natural-born fighter. Janelle recalled that she didn't know that her boyfriend of five years passed a way until a visitor accidentally told her about it, a week after the tragedy.
"A visitor went there. Akala niya alam ko. Nasabi po [sa akin]. Hindi ko na napigilan. I started crying. Pero ako, nung time na yun, everyday ko silang tinatanong. I was kinda feeling it na rin, kasi hindi sila sumasagot. Nagdra-drive siya ng car niya, hinatid niya ako sa bahay nila. I was wearing the hospital gown na. And then pagsakay niya, ang sabi lang niya sa akin, 'Ang swerte mo, you're given another chance to live'. Tapos after that time nagising na ako. "

But to this day, Janelle admitted that it's still hard to accept that Ramgen is gone. It was as if she's still in denial stage, especially because she's hardly by herself and has no chance to grieve his death alone. "Until now hindi pa rin nagsink in.

As difficult as it is, Janelle vowed that she will do whatever it takes to bring justice to his death. "Gusto ko tulungan niya ako sa case, kasi ayoko rin pong nasasaktan yung family niya. Gusto ko sabihin sa kanya na thank you kasi he taught me a lot of things. He's one of the reason kung bakit ako naging strong. Gusto ko magpasalamat sa kanya sa lahat. Gusto ko rin sabihin sa kanya na I love you for the last time kasi hindi ko po nasabi yun. I want him to know na hindi nasayang yung life niya kahit ganon yung naging ending. I'm gonna fight for him."

Janelle also gave a message to Ramgen's mom, Genelyn Bautista, saying that she has no intention of destroying their family by being a witness to the murder case. As it is, Jannelle has recently submitted an affidavit, confirming the family's deep family rift and establishes the motive for the siblings to conspire with each other. The said affidavit also includes a statement from Janelle, saying that Genelyn had been diagnosed as "schizophrenic", which is why Ramgen is in charge of the family household. "Hindi ko siya gustong saktan. Kung yung mga sinabi ko, wala sa intensyon ko na saktan siya or yung pamilya nila or sirain sila. Gusto ko lang po talaga mahanap yung justice for me and for Ram."

If anything, she hopes that they will convince Ramona Bautista to come home and help shed light to what really happened the night of Ramgen's murder. "Gusto ko sana na, honestly, pauwin po nila si Mara. Kasi yung statements namin...I want to clarify things. I want to clarify things kung bakit ganon.
