Nikki Valdez says she is not closing her doors on finding love again

120111-nikki_main.jpgAs Praybeyt Benjamin continues to do steady ticket sales at the box office, Nikki Valdez feels lucky to have another blockbuster project as the Star Cinema Metro Manila Film Festival entry, Enteng ng Ina Mo. This is the latest installment in the successful Tanging Ina franchise of which Nikki has been a part of in the past few years.

Reprising her role as Ai-Ai De las Alas’s second child, Nikki said it is an advantage that she already knows her character inside and out. “Ito kasi collaboration ni Enteng Kabisote at saka ni Ina. Ako si Tudis yung second child of Ina. Hindi ko sinasabing hindi na siya ganun ka-challenging because pang ilan na movie na namin ito but ito nga yung magandang part dahil na-absorb na namin yung characters namin so we know each other very well. So now nung merong pumasok na Enteng Kabisote, alam ko kung paano magre-react for my mother na si Ina. Kabisadong kabisado ko na si Tudis,” she shared with Push.com.ph.

Nikki said that her latest movie will be an even bigger production than the past Tanging Ina flicks. “Sabi ko nga the more the merrier. This time, it’s bigger and mas riot kasi nagsama ang dalawang malaking pamilya, dalawang malaking pelikula, at dalawang malaking artista. Overwhelming lang kasi naririnig mo yung reaction ng tao na inaabangan na talaga nila. They can expect double the fun, double the drama and may action scenes kami. May mga fight scenes kami, abangan nila yan,” she rvealed.

After admitting earlier this year that she and her husband have separated, Nikki said she still considers herself blessed to have a thriving career and she now feels emotionally stronger about the separation. “Siyempre pag personal life yung pinag-uusapan, you’re always emotional about it naman. Sa akin lang happy lang ako ngayon kasi it’s out in the open. Mas honest ako hindi lang sa tao but mostly sa sarili ko and kumbaga I’m now free to talk about anything kasi nga nagkaroon kami ng closure and I’m just happier right now. At least I can move on and concentrate on my goals, yung dreams ko para sa sarili ko and sa family ko, lalo na sa anak ko. dati kasi siyempre hindi ko alam kung anong mangyayari ;di ba tapos ngayon I’m more free,” she said.

The actress said she is also not closing her doors on finding love again. “I really don’t know kasi yung mga ganyang bagay hindi mo masasabi eh. Hindi planado. Especially right now, kasi sarado talaga ako eh. If it comes, it will come. Pag nandiyan na siya, I’ll be happy if God will still give me the chance to find that one person who will love me for who I am and for who I have, what I have and bonus na lang yun sa buhay ko kasi right now, I’m at the happiest state with my daughter and my family ulit. Tingin ko mas magandang mas maraming nagmamahal kesa sa isa lang. Marami diyan, case to case basis. Basta if God will give me that blessing in the future then thank you. Kung hindi, siguro hindi talaga meant to be. Ang importante ngayon ay I love my job and I love myself din, my daughter and my family,” she told Push.com.ph.

Nikki revealed that the she and her husband only communicate now for matters concerning their daughter. The actress says she is also thankful she is ready if ever her daughter starts asking about her father. “She was young when it happened so actually she doesn’t really have to cope with anything yet. Actually I’m about to face that pa lang so let’s see, ayoko munang isipin. Ang important maging honest din ako sa kanya, s
