Cristine Reyes reveals how she proved Rayver Cruz is a good boyfriend

110511-cristine-main.jpgAfter being given a clean bill of health after being hospitalized for a few weeks due to viral meningitis, Cristine Reyes admitted she is now taking things slow during tapings of her drama series Reputasyon.

The 22-year-old actress admitted it was a combination of stress and fatigue that led to her weakened condition. “Kasi sunod-sunod yung trabaho, sunod-sunod akong puyat. Humina yung resistensya ko. Tinamaan tuloy ako ng viral meningitis. So basically it’s a bacteria na nakukuha sa kinakain, sa air at ang immune system ang babagsak,” she explained.

Now that she is better, Cristine admitted she has learned her lesson when it comes to doing things. Her temporary stay in the hospital gave the sexy actress a better appreciation of life. Live life to the fullest. Kasi nakakatakot. Bawal kasi ako dalawin sa hospital so nung medyo okay na ako nagpadalaw ako, nag-shoot up yung fever ko so hindi na naman puwede. Nung nakalabas ako, work na kaagad. So yun siguro yung naging reason kung bakit gumaling din ako kaagad,” she admitted.

During her hospitalization, Cristine said that she was especially grateful to her boyfriend Rayver Cruz who really took the time to take care of her. Alam mong concerned siya,” she stressed.

The two recently celebrated their first year anniversary as a couple last September. “Kumain kami ng favorite naming dish, yung Thai food sa Greenbelt tapos nanuod kami ng movie tapos may konting surprise siya sa akin dun,” she said of the pricey designer bag he reportedly gave her.

Apart from starring together in Reputasyon, Cristine hopes she would be able to get the chance to work with Rayver on the big screen in a dance-inspired movie. Parang mala-Step Up ang dating. Gusto ko yung movies na parang Step Up, yung mga Dirty Dancing, ganun,” she said.
