Kathryn Bernardo says she never expected to do a horror movie

112411-kathryn_main.jpgAs part of the ensemble cast of the 13th installation of the Shake, Rattle, and Roll franchise which is part of the Metro Manila Film Festival this coming December, Growing Up star Kathryn Bernardo revealed watching horror films is one of her greatest fears. “First time ko mag-horror. Actually hindi talaga ako nanunuod ng horror dahil duwag ako (laughs). So malaking challenge sa akin na mag-horror kasi para sa akin yung ang pinakamahirap eh. Pero kakaibang experience din ito,” she said during the Coca-Cola Caravan event held at the Araneta Center last November 12.

Aside from taping for Growing Up and finishing the shoot for Shake, Rattle, and Roll, Kathryn is also gearing up for her newest teleserye Esperanza, which is a remake of the Judy Ann Santos starrer which first aired on ABS-CBN in 1997.

As part of Coca-Cola’s newest batch of celebrity ambassadors, Kathryn admitted she is happy and excited to be part of the Christmas caravan event which ushered in the start of the holiday season. “Siyempre feel ko na ang pasko kasi ber months na rin and naging part rin kami dito sa event. Siyempre I’ll spend it with family sa bahay or uuwi kami sa province or kung may time, siguro mag-a-out-of-town kami. Simple lang. Pag pasko, sa akin importante na kasama yung family ko. Basta sama-sama para salubungin yung Christmas and New Year,” she said.

Although she initially wanted to spend the holidays abroad, Kathryn said her plans would have to wait until her schedule permits an extended trip with her family. “Gusto ko sana mag-white Christmas pero since busy ngayong December, siguro next year pa siya matutupad. So ngayon sana lang mag-tuloy-tuloy itong pagiging successful ng mga projects ko,” she shared.

The 15 year-old also said she has no plans of rewarding herself with any material gifts this year. “Last year ang gift ko na sa sarili ko is yung van ko na nabili ko. So kuntento na muna ako dun (laughs),” she admitted.

When it comes to her personal life, Kathryn isn’t in any hurry to get into any relationship because she would rather focus on her career. “Sa ngayon, nag-e-enjoy lang ako eh. So kung darating, darating pero ayoko yung ako yung maghahanap kasi hindi ko siya kailangan hanapin,” she said.

The talented morena beauty shared that her dream project would definitely be a romantic comedy, regardless of whether it’s in a movie or television series. “Okay lang sa akin to be paired with anyone. Bahala na kahit sino. Basta hindi drama (laughs),” she said.
