111011-karylle_main.jpgAfter a four-month stint in Singapore shooting The Kitchen Musical, Karylle is back to resuming her hosting duties on Showtime and ASAP, as well as promoting her album Roadtrip. The 30-year-old singer-actress admitted she missed her loved ones and friends, which includes her Showtime family as well. Karylle said she is very grateful that the show’s management has been very supportive of her international endeavor.

“I think one of the biggest factors in taking this project na naging question ko talaga was kung papayagan ako sa Showtime kasi pinayagan naman ako sa ASAP. Kasi it’s different if you’re absent in a daily show for a whole month. So si direk Bobet Vidanes, siguro dahil he believes in all about living your dream eh. So when it was my turn to be given a chance of a lifetime, hindi naman niya ako pinahirapan na pumili between one or the other. He proudly let me go and all support silang lahat so very, very thankful ako,” she said during The Kitchen Musical mall show held at the Market! Market! mall last November 6.

Karylle said she has gotten the chance to spend time with her mom ZsaZsa Padilla since they work in the same network and also because she visited their home when she got back. But with regards to the reportedly failing health of her mom’s partner, Dolphy, Karylle refrained from making any statements. “My mom is good. I was with her in ASAP. She’s also doing Budoy now so she’s very, very busy. I don’t know the official situation. I’ve actually made the mistake of saying something that wasn’t accurate so I would rather not. Kasi I’m not updated and siyempre I would leave it to their family to comment. Kasi wala naman ako sa lugar if I do,” she said.

Karylle said she prefers to focus on her showbiz commitments now that she’s finally back. “It’s definitely back to work on Showtime and ASAP so I’ve been busy with that. Finally, we’re going to promote the show (The Kitchen Musical). In the Philippines, around five episodes have been shown and in Indonesia six na ata. Finally we’ll get to hop around. We’re going to Malaysia and Indonesia in two weeks. So the Philippines is the first stop for the promo tour,” she added.

Aside from hosting duties, Karylle and her Kitchen Musical co-star Christian Bautista are also set to leave for Canada this month to do shows for DZMM. Next month proves to be just as busy as she goes to Dubai along with the rest of the Showtime cast.
