Toni Gonzaga felt grateful after her successful concert last Friday, September 30, at The Big Dome. “
Nakahinga nang maluwag, makakatulog na ako ng mahimbing makakapahinga na ako,” said Toni in an interview right after the concert. She said that before the concert started, she was so anxious because she did not know how the concert would turn out. She continued that she felt overwhelmed because even if it was her first major concert, it turned out a success. “First time
kong ma-experience
ang lahat ng ito, punum-puno [
ako]
ng gratefulness.”
Many of Toni’s showbiz friends attended the event, with ABS-CBN executives occupying the front row. All of her former leading men performed with her onstage like John Lloyd Cruz, Vhong Navarro, and Sam Milby. Close friends and fellow co-hosts Bianca Gonzalez and Mariel Rodriguez, the latter with whom Toni supposedly had a rift just recently, were also present.
Toni said two Sundays before the concert that the supposed gap between her and Mariel is not true and revealed at her concert that she is just happy that Mariel showed up. “Of course I’m very happy
na nakapunta siya, si Bianca
at iba ko pang kapamilya na nakapunta rito na nakatrabaho ko,” said Toni.
The Multimedia Star also pleaded with the members of the press to put the issue to rest. “
Tapusin na natin ‘yon, i-celebrate
na lang natin ‘yung 10 years
sa industriya. Huwag na nating lagyan ng intriga.”
She went on to say that she would rather count her blessings and all that is in her heart is gratitude. “
Masayang-masaya, gaya ng sinabi ko I’m thankful and grateful
sa lahat ng naging bahagi ng 10 years
ko sa industriya and
sa lahat ng nakarating sa Araneta,
maraming-maraming salamat.”
Toni also mentioned that her greatest achievement to date is having been able to hold a successful major concert in Araneta. Asked how she defines success, she answered, “
Siguro ang success
sa akin ay makita kong proud
sa akin ang mga magulang ko at mga kapamilya ko, masayang-masaya na ako don, pakiramdam ko succesful
na ako.”
She continued that the most valuable lesson she has learned in her entire career is having faith in herself, regardless of what others think. “I think it’s very important to have faith in yourself
kahit ano’ng sabihin ng tao, na hindi mo kaya, ‘pag naniniwala ka talaga sa sarili mo na you have faith in God, everything is possible.”
Asked what is next for Toni after her successful concert, she joked, “
Matutulog muna ako. Matutulog ako at maka-recover
ako.”
