Mario Maurer confidently faced a crowd of fans and fashionistas at Philippine Fashion Week.
As early as three hours before the Penshoppe fashion show started at SMX Convention Center at the Mall of Asia last October 29, fans and fashionistas alike had already lined up for the event. Everyone looked visibly excited to get a glimpse of Penshoppe's newest celebrity endorser Thai hearttthrob Mario Maurer who was going to be in the finale.
The 22-year-old model-actor walked the runway in a preppy outfit consisting of a crisp white buttoned-down dress shirt tucked into jeans paired with mustard-colored boots. The show started at 8:30 pm with a video montage of current Penshoppe endorser, Gossip Girl
actor Ed Westwick. The popular local clothing brand showcased its latest collection of preppy and colorful outfits that consisted of casual wear and summer wear for next year. An unexpected treat was an appearance of former MTV
VJ Utt Sada who also walked the runway before the Crazy Little Thing Called Love
actor appeared on stage
When the time came for Mario's own video to be shown onstage, the crowd was already growing wild in anticipation and was cheering for the young actor to come out. Mario, who is set to do a movie soon with Maria la Del Barrio
actress Erich Gonzales looked very happy and appreciative of all the cheers and greetings he got from the audience and walked down the runway twice to the delight of many. He also led the finale with Penshoppe's brand director Alex Mendoza along with Utt and the rest of the models. All in all, the audience looked very satisfied to see the Asian idol up close that night.
