Kim Chiu is happy that she and Gerald Anderson both have successful careers

102911-kim-main.jpgWhile both their primetime Kapamilya shows are doing well in the ratings game, Kim Chiu said she does not feel that she and her former love team partner Gerald Anderson have any sort of rivalry between them. “Masaya ako para sa kanya dahil meron siyang bagong teleserye at sobrang successful niya ngayon sa movie and meron pang pangalawang movie. Tapos ngayon meron pa siyang teleserye. Masaya ako for him and dahil sa tinatakbo ng career namin, hindi naman kami nagtatapatan sa isa’t isa, nagtutulungan naman kami,” she said.

The actress said she doesn’t feel sad about the dissolution of their love team because it was only natural for her and Gerald to go on their separate paths in their careers. “Part din ito ng growth ng pagiging artista namin. Hindi naman sa tagal namig sa pagiging artista, kami lang dalawa nag magkasama. Pero para iba naman and kita naman natin na successful siya so congratulations sa kanya,” she said.

Although there are reports that she and the Budoy star may have reconciled already, Kim said there is nothing going on between them. But the pretty chinita admits that she and Gerald have been communicating more regularly now. “Hindi namin pinag-uusapan ang career and work pag magkausap kami eh. Normally nag-uusap kami kung anong nangyayari sa mga buhay-buhay namin, ganun. Nung nag-usap kami about Budoy, kinongratulate ko siya,” she revealed.

Kim said that she enjoys watching Gerald’s new series and is proud of how far he has come in terms of acting. “Minsan natatawa ako pero may times na sobrang naaawa ako sa kanya, lalo na pag kasama na niya si Ms. Janice de Belen,” she admitted

As to her My Binondo Girl co-star Jolo Revilla’s indefinite leave from the show due to health concerns, Kim said she hoped her newest leading man is doing better. “Yun nga sa migraine niya. Kinamusta namin and okay naman daw siya. Nagpapagaling siya sa ngayon kaya wala muna siya sa taping. Pagaling siya and huwag siya ma-stress masyado and huwag mag-isip ng kung anu-ano para gumaling siya kaagad,” she said. (Jolo Revilla has since returned to work on My Binondo Girl on October 28)
