Albie Casiño is open to discuss matters with Andi Eigenmann's camp but he stressed that he is not the one who will make the first move.
Albie Casiño revealed during the press conference of his upcoming movie Aswang
under Regal Films that he has not yet talked to former girlfriend Andi Eigenmann since the controversy between them came out. The young actor made it clear that he does not intend to make the first move to communicate with the actress. He added that he might talk to her on one condition, that they approach him first. He said clearly, “I don’t want anything from them. If they want anything from me sila ang pumunta
.” Although Andi’s camp has clearly suggested that Albie is the father of Andi’s child, the former has avoided making any confirmation.
He continued that he is not angry about the statements that Andi’s parents—Jaclyn Jose and Mark Gil—made in their past interviews. He said firmly that he really does not want to say anything that might aggravate the situation further.
Albie also believes that he does not agree with the Filipino culture that commonly dictates that the male is usually to be blamed in a situation when he gets his girlfriend pregnant unintentionally. “Of course, I think it’s unfair pero
nothing’s fair.” He said that he tries to take this with a grain of salt because it is something that is beyond his control.
Right now, Albie said that he gets moral support from his family and friends. He continued that he would like to believe that he is the type who does not run away from his responsibilities but at this point, he really cannot declare it because of his predicament. He said that he would rather let his parents and his close friends vouch for him.
Just like in the past, Albie said that he is still open to undergo a DNA test to confirm or deny if he is really the father of Andi’s child.
Albie also related that he does not allow this issue bother him when it comes to his work. He is also thankful to his family and friends who help him divert his attention from the issue.
In the last part of the interview, the young actor said, “I really don’t want to defend myself. I’m really a positive person but ‘yung malinis yung pangalan ko
I think malabo ‘yon
. Because the press can make it look like what they want it to look like. I don’t know. Not everyone’s going to agree that I’m really a nice guy but I really don’t care if people don’t think I’m a nice guy because I know, I think I am. My friends know I am, ‘di ba?
And that’s enough for me.”
