Kim Chiu is excited to work with Vilma Santos

102111-kim_main.jpgEver since she appeared in the horror film Shake, Rattle, and Roll X three years ago, Kim Chiu has been looking forward to returning to that genre. Now, she finally has the chance in a yet-untitled horror flick under Star Cinema which is slated for release early next year.

Kakaiba and excited ako na gawin itong movie na ito kasi kakaiba tapos siyempre with Chito Roño and Vilma Santos ito so excited ako,” she said.

The movie, which currently has the working title of The Healing, delves into the Filipino tradition of going to faith healers for guidance and treatment of ailments. The movie also stars actress Janice de Belen, whom Kim also admires for her acting in Budoy. So yun, ang galing galing,” she added.

After the movie’s story conference last October 18 at the Star Cinema office, the 21-year-old actress also shared a little bit about her role in the movie which starts shooting within the month. Exciting siya and kaabang-abang talaga ito,” she shared with Push.com.ph.

Another thing Kim is really looking forward to about the project is the chance to work with veteran actress Vilma Santos for the very first time. The two met during the story conference and Kim excitedly shared that she enjoyed getting the chance to chat with the Star for All Seasons.

Now that she gets to act opposite Vilma Santos, Kim said she will try to show her best although she does not want to think too much about the pressure of gunning for an acting award. “Naku huwag muna, pressure? (laughs) Hindi naman basta relax lang and thankful ako na napasama ako sa pelikulang ito,” she admitted.
