101611-sharon_main.jpgIn her upcoming film with Star Cinema, Sharon Cuneta happily shared that she’ll be working with some of the hottest young stars of ABS-CBN including Gerald Anderson, Maja Salvador, Julia Montes, and Enrique Gil. The lead cast (with the exception of Maja who was abroad) finally came together in a story conference held at the Star Cinema office last Tuesday, October 11. “Oo naman, [napapanood ko yung ibang shows nila]. Before kasi magkapelikula, pinapa-approve muna yung casting. So I was excited when I saw that I’d be working with Gerald, Julia, and Enrique. I’m very happy.”

Aside from working with fresh faces in the industry, Sharon is totally thrilled to be directed by Lauren Dyogi in this movie. “It was nice breaking the ice with the kids kasi ngayon lang kami nagkasama-sama nila Gerald. I love working with new people. Plus, Direk Lauren and I have become good friends because of Biggest Loser and he's directing me for the first time. And since he directed Aga Muhlach in All My Life, talagang dream ko talagang ma-direk ni Direk Lauren.”

The Megastar also gave a few details about the film, which will tackle family issues and her character’s journey as a call center agent. “Yung role ko super achiever, trabaho ng trabaho… so nung nagfo-focus na ako sa pamilya ko dahil kailangan na, wala akong masyadong relationships with each of my children. Apart from that, kinailangan ko magtrabaho sa isang call center. Parang total demotion from my previous job as a flight attendant. At the same time, maraming nakakatawang parts ng story na dapat abangan.

Although the film is slated to be shown in theaters May of next year, Sharon said that they would start shooting soon due to the stars’ availability.
