Mariel Rodriguez dispels conflict rumors by attending Toni Gonzaga's anniversary concert

Toni’s former Pinoy Big Brother co-hosts Mariel Rodriguez and Bianca Gonzalez were seated in the front row to cheer for Toni. It was during that time that Toni chose to thank the two ladies for their friendship and also to address the issue that she and her Mariel had been in conflict with each other lately.

Tigilan na natin ang chismis, wala talagang ganun,” she declared. After recent reports hinted at the supposed friction between her and Mariel, Toni admitted that sometimes it is hard for her not to get affected by malicious rumors.

The popular singer-actress admitted she always looks to her family for comfort and solace during these challenging times. “Minsan ‘pag medyo masakit, ‘pag masyado ng mabigat sa dibdib yung intriga, gustong-gusto ko lagi umuwi sa bahay. Gusto ko tapusin na yung taping or yung shooting para makauwi na Akon sa bahay namin. Kasi sa bahay namin hindi ako artista. Anak ako, kapatid ako. To my dad lagi niyang sinasabi sa akin na kapag hindi ko na kaya, you can do all things when Christ strengthens you,” she shared during the show.

Toni started off the show with a rousing production number followed by different duets with heartthrobs Piolo Pascual, Sam Milby, and John Lloyd Cruz. Comedians Pokwang and Vice Ganda also kept the crowd roaring with laughter with their hilarious jokes and singing. Early birds included celebrity couple Rayver Cruz and No Other Woman star Cristine Reyes as well as Toni’s boyfriend director Paul Soriano.

Other celebrities spotted in the audience were Toni’s Happy Yipee Yehey’s co-hosts Randy Santiago, Rico J. Puno, and John Estrada who had pregnant wife Priscilla Meirelles in tow. Toni’s friends in the industry Charlene Gonzalez, Nikki Valdez, Empress, and Rodjun Cruz with girlfriend Dianne Medina were also spotted enjoying the show. Star Cinema directors Cathy Garcia-Molina, Lauren Dyogi, and Olivia Lamasan were also present as well as ABS-CBN executives Charo Santos-Concio, Malou Santos, Linggit Tan, and Deo Edrinal. “Maraming maraming salamat for being a part of this beautiful ten years and this beautiful celebration. Hindi magiging possible ang concert na ito kung hindi kayo pumunta at nanuod. Maraming maraming salamat po,” Toni told everyone during the show.

Another grand number involved Toni singing her version of the popular PBB theme “Pinoy Ako” where she was joined onstage by previous PBB Big Winners Nene Tamayo, Bea Saw, and Keanna Reeves as well as other housemates Jason Francisco, Robi Domingo, Devon Seron, and Rico Barrera. Other guests included Toni’s good friend Vhong Navarro as well as her younger sister Alex Gonzaga, whom she had a Nicky Minaj sing-off with. Toni admitted that she was nervous about her concert because of the news that typhoon Quiel was going to hit that day. “Pinagdasal ko na sana huwag tayo bagyuhin ngayon pero sana bagyuhin itong show ng mga tao,” she said in jest.
