'Buhawi Jack' star Gerald Anderson admits that new leading lady Jewel Mische is easy to get along with.
Gerald Anderson takes on the title role in Wansapanataym'rsquo;s Rod Santiago'rsquo;s Buhawi Jack which starts Saturday, January 22, on ABS-CBN. In this weekly series, Gerald gets to work with new Star Magic talent Jewel Mische, whom he first met late last year during the ABS-CBN Trade Launch event. Although they have not yet spent that much time together, the Fil-Am hunk already has nothing but praises for his new leading lady. "Ang bait. Sobra siyang magaan kasama sa set. She'rsquo;s very dedicated at magaling," he shared during the Buhawi Jack presscon held last January 18 at the ABS-CBN compound. Gerald said that he and Jewel had undergone rigorous lessons in arnis in order to prepare for their roles. "Kasi lahat naman kami sa project na ito, gustong-gusto naming talagang maging successful ang show so pareho rin kaming nagtutulungan," he added.
As Buhawi Jack is set to premiere this weekend, Gerald admitted that their shooting schedule has become even more hectic in order to prepare for more action-packed sequences in the succeeding episodes. The Buhawi Jack star shared that he hopes that working together will help him build an even better working relationship with Jewel. "Kasi isang taping day pa lang kami nagkasama ni Jewel. Nakapag-workshop kami at storycon. Pero siyempre ang gusto ko mas makilala siya ng husto and dito sa Buhawi Jack, madami pa kaming taping days na magkasama so yung bonding namin mas lalalim pa. Ang gusto ko is mas makilala siya talaga," he stressed.
Now that he and his former love team partner Kim Chiu have been concentrating on doing separate projects, is there a chance that Gerald would ever develop feelings for his new co-star? "Hindi ko pa alam kasi masyado pang maaga, but yun nga sinabi ko na masarap kasama si Jewel sa set, magaan at masaya," he said.
