Before leaving for the US to start a family, Carol Banawa enjoyed a successful career as a singer-actress in the Philippines through ABS-CBN. Now after seven years, Carol comes home to record a new album with Star Records. But she clarified that she will be in the Philippines until November only, and after that she would have to go back to the States to be with her husband and three-year-old daughter. If there are requests for her to stay longer, she said she would have to ask her husband'rsquo;s permission. "Tingnan natin kung ano ang mga mangyayari. It'rsquo;s too early for me to say. Hindi na lang naman kasi ako 'lsquo;yung magde-decide. Siyempre I have to ask my husband muna and may daughter pa kami. Let'rsquo;s see."

During her recent contract signing with Star Records, Carol was asked if she saw the episode of Glee which featured Charice as the latest addition to the series'rsquo; cast. Carol revealed how she was moved watching Charice sing "Listen" on Glee. "Bonggang bongga in a major, major way! Kanina pinanood uli namin, napapa ganun (imitating Charice'rsquo;s gestures when she sang "Listen" on Glee). Charice, we are so proud of you. Sobrang nakakakilabot habang pinapanood kasi alam mong Pilipino siya. Nakaka proud talaga."

Many new singers have emerged since Carol left showbiz in 2003. While living in the US, she would watch ASAP through TFC and can'rsquo;t help but see herself in Sarah Geronimo. "Nakikita ko 'lsquo;yung sarili ko dati ngayon kay Sarah Geronimo. The way with her career, album muna tapos TV, then movies. Medyo nakaka-relate ako sa pinagdadaanan niya. Bonggang-bongga na talaga siya ngayon. Magagaling na rin talaga 'lsquo;yung mga bagong singers ngayon."

Asked if she would make a guest appearance in Sarah'rsquo;s musicalserye Idol if requested, she said. "Why not?! Pero ano kaya ang role ko dun? Ha ha ha! Pero okay ako. Masaya rin naman mag-taping. Or if not I would be honored to do a number with her. "

Once her album is done, Carol will do a series of TV appearances to promote the CD. As early as now, Carol can'rsquo;t help but feel excited about performing on ASAP once again because she missed being part of the show. "Nakaka-excite mag-ASAP kasi makikita ko uli sina Tita Zsazsa (Padilla), Tito Martin (Nievera), Ate Vina (Morales). Miss ko na makasama sa number sina Kuya Martin, Tita Zsazsa. Si Tito Gary (Valenciano) hindi ko na inabutan sa ASAP but it would be fun to do a number with him. At siyempre si Papa P (Piolo Pascual)!"
