Matteo Guidicelli says that he is not courting Maja Salvador

Matteo Guidicelli denied rumors that he and Maja Salvador are supposedly exclusively dating and stressed that they are just friends. "Magkaibigan lang kami. We always laugh about it (rumor). Nothing more than that, magkaibigan lang kami."

The former Agua Bendita star further said that just because Maja was his date at the Star Magic Ball a few weeks ago, means that there is something romantic going on between them already. "Dun sa shooting ng Inday sa Balitaw si Direk Erik (Salud) would always tease both of us. Sabi niya, 'lsquo;Matteo, dalhin mo siya sa Star Magic Ball.'rsquo; Sabi ni Maja, 'lsquo;Four years na akong walang date.'rsquo;'nbsp; Sabi ko baka magye-yes naman 'lsquo;to sa akin.'rsquo;" Matteo said that he later on asked Maja to be his date, and the actress agreed.

The actor was also very careful with his answers every time he would be asked about his supposed romance with Maja. Asked if he intends to court Maja in the future, Matteo replied, "Wala, magkaibigan lang kami. Yung Inday sa Balitaw is coming out at the end of the month," referring to the next Wansapanataym feature that will star him and Maja.

Matteo was then asked why he seemed elusive when he was asked about Maja, then he answered, "Kasi first priority namin 'lsquo;yung trabaho, 'lsquo;yung career namin. Tsaka 'lsquo;yung love life tsaka na 'lsquo;yan trabaho muna."'nbsp; He clarified that he is not closing his doors on matters of the heart. "Hindi naman sa hindi ako ready, gusto ko lang trabaho muna. Gusto ko i-give one hundred percent to my work."

Aside from Inday sa Balitaw, Matteo said that he has yet to wait for his next TV project and is keeping his fingers crossed that another good project will come his way soon. He has been a Star Magic talent for just a year, but he has already scored a hit teleserye, and he has Star Magic heads Johnny Manahan and Mariole Alberto to thank for taking good care of him.

He said that until now, he still feels overwhelmed by the success of his previous teleserye and is not bothered that there is no follow-up TV series as of press time. "I trust my management so I know they'rsquo;ll help me. I feel so blessed just with Agua Bendita and is a big blessing na talaga para sa akin."
