Melai Cantiveros is surprised by the high ratings of Wansapanataym: Inday Bote

It even surpassed that of Maalaala Mo Kaya which came in second, followed by TV Patrol, then Failon Ngayon. The super talkative ex-Pinoy Big Brother housemate was rendered speechless at first before she finally said, 'Ay salamat naman at mataas pala ang ratings ng Inday Bote, salamat sa mga nanood. Hindi ko in-expect dahil sobrang focused ako ngayon sa trabaho. Kaya sa totoo lang 'lsquo;di ko na naiisip yung mga ganyang bagay. Pero sobrang happy naman ako kung ganon.' With her natural knack for comedy, it'rsquo;s really no big surprise why Melai has captivated the hearts of many Filipino viewers. The fact that she remains down-to-earth and unpretentious despite her instant fame further adds to her unique charm. Even her Inday Bote leading man Rayver Cruz was very impressed with her talent as well as lovable personality. To which she shyly replied, 'Hindi uy, exag yun! 'lsquo;Salamat kuya Rayver, over ka.'rsquo; Oo close kami sa set, nagkukuwentuhan kami, nagtatawanan kami. Noong una nahihiya pa ako kay Rayver kasi sino ba naman hindi mahihiya e artista yun. Melai claimed, however, that she didn'rsquo;t have a hard time adjusting to her role because both Rayver and Jon Avila (her other leading man in Inday Bote) were very helpful when they were taping the two-part series.
