Makisig Morales first captured audiences’ hearts when he competed in the singing search Little Big Star in 2005. Makisig’s small screen debut as the lovable Budong in the successful series Super Inggo in 2006 proved that he had gained fans everywhere. Nowadays, the high school sophomore student at the La Coleta Academy in San Mateo, Rizal is still busy juggling school, sports, and showbiz. “Naging busy po ako sa school at sa pag-focus sa studies ko. Madalas na rin akong nagba-basketball ngayon,” he shares with abs-cbn.com during the recent Star Magic Ball where he brought along his sister Mayumi as his date for the night. “Wala pa ako masyado kakilala so sinama ko si Ate,” he shyly admitted. Some of Makisig’s celebrity friends include the recent batch of Pinoy Big Brother Teens housemates. “’Pag may showbiz events, kami-kami magkakasama, nagkuwe-kuwentuhan ng kahit ano, hang out lang,” he added.
The 13-year-old taekwondo blackbelter also admits he is still very much into martial arts. “I have training every Saturday and Sunday. I look forward to that every week,” he said. The tween, who now stands 5’4” in height, also looks forward to one day being able to fulfill his dream project with his idol Robin Padilla. “Ang gusto ko pa rin talaga is one day makagawa ng action movie o kaya series. Idol ko kasi talaga si Binoe at sana makasama ko siya sa isang project someday. Astig kasi yung ganung project tsaka masaya gawin,” he shared. But when it comes to leading ladies, Makisig says he doesn’t have any special girl in mind at the moment. “Hindi ko po alam sino puwedeng leading lady ko. Kahit sinong i-partner sa akin, okay lang naman,” he said.
Makisig recently finished shooting for the upcoming comedy flick Petrang Kabayo.
